I ordered these rocks for my lizard. I needed something to put in his tank that would help him file his nails naturally. Slate is rough enough to wear down his nails, without tearing his skin. As an added bonus, he loves to lounge on them and bask on their warmth. (He's a desert lizard.)These are just slate rocks... NOT a put-together arch of slate, or anything like that. If you want an arch, you can stack the rocks yourself, but I think it's a good thing that the rocks don't have any glue or cement or anything.
