Fluval C3 Bio-Screen - 3-Pack

I got the Fluval C-3 cause I liked the looks and ease of Cleaning /Changing the different Filtration pieces .

I use a Soft Head toothbrush and Aquarium water to clean the Bio-screen pad on both sides when it gets "clogged" with the raw aquarium water coming from the diverter nozzle that the Fluval C series HOB has for the Five levels of filtration .

Yes the cost is kind of high but it is a "special" woven poly pad made for this filter only and Fluval says that you should Replace the Bio-Screen about every Two to Three Months for best results .

If you bought the Fluval system you need to buy their components to make it work. You get 3 of the pads that sit on top closest to the tank side of the filter. When you look at what you get you think, "I spent that much for this?"

I typically rinse and reuse them at least once before I toss them. I know it contradicts the instructions but the Fluval police department hasn't shown up yet.

Thoughts Gave it 4 stars for the price for what it is. NOT because it doesn't work (actually worx great). FYI, you can rinse them out (use the water from yur next water change. NeverEVERtap water) and re use it. Which I recommend doing to save $$$$.
