CaribSea Instant Aquarium Tahitian Moon Gravel

This is by far one of my favorite substrates. I have used CaribSea Cichlid substrate in the past for my African cichlid aquarium but, before it settles completely, it often gets in the filter motor causing it to get extremely hot. The air stones/line in the tank also disturb this substrate giving the water a slightly cloudy appearance. The Instant Aquarium has a perfect granular size and I have had no fish loss in previous uses leading me to believe it works as well as it claims. I do have to increase the pH levels using other materials but it definitely beats replacing my filter unit. It's easy to clean and once settled, it remains settled. The water is always crystal clear. Definitely recommend this product!

This gravel is great. It is coarser than sand which is what we wanted. Also, it is a gorgeous shimmery black which makes our fishes colors look beautiful! It was enough for our smaller 5 gallon tank, plus we had some left over.

This sand is so good i filled my 55 galon with 25 pounds of it. African cichlids love it it helps them eat out of the sand. Keeps water clean
