IN FEB 2012, I PURCHASED 2X EHEIM HEATERS FOR MY AQUARIUM. A MONTH LATER I STARTED MY DAUGHTERS AQUARIUM AND PURCHASED ANOTHER. I CAN ONLY REVIEW THIS FOR **FRESHWATER**

1. OVER ONE YEAR IN SERVICE NOT ONE GLITCH. Holds 79.5 'F constant.

2. TEMPS STAY RIGHT ON WITH ONLY 1/8'F DIFFERENCE.

3. SUCTION CUPS ARE THE BEST AND DON'T FALL APART.

5. SUCTION CUPS SICK VERY VERY WELL.

6. HEATER SITS COMPLETELY SUBMERGED 24/7 NO LEAKS.

7. I USE ONLY (1) 250 WATT HEATER FOR MY 90 GALLON TANK.

8. I USE ONLY (1) 250 WATT HEATER FOR MY 180 GALLON TANK.

9. I USE ONLY (1) 125 WATT HEATER FOR MY 30 GALLON TANK.

10 . SPECS REQUIRE MORE HEATING AND MY TANKS ALL HOLD 79.5'F WITH NO PROBLEMS.

11. GLASS TUBE IS SOLID BUILD, 14'' PLECO KNOCKED THE CRAP OUT OF ONE AND NO ISSUES (2X) TIMES.

12. POWER CORD IS WELL BUILT AND 6FT.

13. TEMP CONTROL DIAL IS EASY TO READ.

14. TEMP CONTROL DIAL A LITTLE FIRM TO TURN ON ALL THREE HEATERS, BUT IS FINE.

I RATE THIS HEATER 100% WITH NO ISSUES. CICHLIDS ARE VERY HAPPY.

i have had this heater for a few weeks. its in my 55 gal. it is a quality heater. a thick cord. good suction cup holder. safety feature in case you forget to unplug. keeps temp in my tank at 80F. easy to set dial. indicator light tells you when its heating.

one note... if you place jager heaters in less water then they are rated for, you need to set the temp lower by as much as 5 degrees.

for example i have a 75w in a 10 gal filled with 5 gals. set at 76F thermometer reads at 80-81F.

The Jager heaters are the best. I just got back in keeping tanks again. I have another brand on my 55 but I am using this one on my 29. I will be replacing the 55's heater with a jager asap.

I have 2 of these in my 90 gallon tank. I have the temp set at 79F and I have never seen the temp at anything other than 79F. They hardly ever kick on, and when they do they aren't on for long. I keep my house at around 70F, so they do a very good job at regulating the temp in my aquarium.
