Lee's Stretch Ultra Gravel Vacuum Cleaner, Self-Start

Lee's Stretch Ultra Gravel Vacuum Cleaner, Self-StartVary basic, but easy to use, and dose a decent job. I'v only used a few times but seems to get most of the nasty stuff. Rocks do get sucked up a bit, but give it a shake and they come right out. I like that is sucks out the water when I do a water change, just put the hose in the sick and walk away for about ten mins. I have no need or desire to get anything else, it dose what it's intended to do, with a little elbow grease.

I used it to suck up some sunken food and some mold/fungus out of my 10 gallon. I got most of it up but, but it sucks up alot of water. I think it would be better if it sucks less water and more gunk. I may have gotten that wrong size though.

Another problem is that when I was using it the hose in the bucket started flipping out of the bucket, I didnt notice for a few seconds until my socks got soaked. I kept putting it back in the bucket but it kept flipping out. Ive seen some of these with hose clips, I dont believe this one came with them. It seems like it would sure help.

But at the end of the day I was somewhat satified with it. I think I will use this for partial water changes. And maybe try to secure the hose next time.

Buy Lee's Stretch Ultra Gravel Vacuum Cleaner, Self-Start Now

I very rarely feel a need to give a product a very poor rating; however, this items was just that crappy. I tried over and over to get it to vacuum debris off the bottom of my aquarium; however, all it did was siphon water and very little debris/ fish waste. Even the siphon was extremely slow. I mean for the price I paid I was not expecting miracles and magical results; I did expect it to vacuum "clean" my aquarium. This is pretty much just a siphoning device for water, not a cleaner/vacuum...it is just too weak for that in my honest opinion. I guess I am going to have to buck up and get the sixty-buck aquarium vac again to replace my other one that broke.

So buy this if you just need to siphon some water and have the patience to wait while it does that every slowly. If you need a cleaner/vacuum, stay away from this!!!
