The lights I received are NOT Aqua brand UV lights. I would have returned these Chinese made lights but I figured I would give them a try. If I find they are crap, I will make sure to let everyone know.

August 3, 2012 So far so good. They seem to be performing as well as the brand name ones. They have been running for about a month now. Will know at the end of the season when I remove them to see how they stood up.

These bulbs have never lasted more than 6 months. That being said, the price is competetive for AQUA original equipment. It came within a couple of days and was extremely well packaged so I don't begrudge the shipping charge.

I installed this bulb late in March and within a week, my pond was beautiful. It cleared up and I am looking forward to a summer with some happy fish.

After about 5 months it is still running without any problems. It is much cheaper than the other brands (at least when it was on sale) so i recommend going with whichever option is cheaper at the time.
