We used to empty our pond to power wash yearly, our fish have gotten so big we cannot safely remove them from the pond to do this. I run a 5000 koi pond with rocks and lilies under clear summer skies---and with blooming trees and autumn leaves. I gave up on UV after the failure of another expensive unit. I tried this out last year. I have a large 10,000 gal. koi pond in my yard with lots of overhanging trees. When we bought the house, the pond had been neglected for seveal years. Cleaning with a pond rake was a mess and hard work. I bought this looking for a better way without very high expectations. It worked great!
