This is a good choice even if you plan on using only one of the Truelumen inline. I use 3 of them with the dimmer and they work just fine,

I didn't want to risk ruining my lights so I just bought this power supply that is made for them. I do not know if other much cheaper models might be able to do the same as this.

I ended up using the supplied sticker backing to attach to my existing LED light for my 5 gallon nano, since I can't turn on moon lights with this fixture, I just mounted between rows of LEDs and chained 2 of these together, it's a great moon light and brings out the colors at night.

Make sure you understand you lighting needs. They are very bright LEDs but be aware of the area you have to cover
