Wanted to like these. The batch I got are brittle. When you go to bend them around the plants they break apart. Obviously you want to wrap them around the base of the plant...no way. Bend a little and they break into small pieces. Buy another brand...my 2 cents.

the best way i ca conceive to use these is to keep the meal straight and flat and lodge it into the root of the plant. they are soooo flimsy they break if bent to circle around a plant.

I have tried a range of metal and plastic sinkers to weigh down aquatic plants. These are by far the easiest to use and most effective. Larger plants may need several sinkers, so get plenty. I wish they sold these in the local pet stores.
