My pet garter snake Edgeworth seemed a little cramped in the Small Kritter Keeper I purchased last year (you could say he objected to it *cough*), so I got this. The large model is big enough to support a snake up to two feet in length. Since Edgeworth is still a baby snake (9 inches or so), this will suit him for a long time, probably forever.

Remember to get additional accessories depending on your reptile/rodent/arachnid/what-have-you. Garter snakes, for instance, require a water bowl and a small cave to hide in.

I just bought 3 of these in various colors (aqua and neon green) I will be using mine to house some young snakes, until they are old enough for larger tanks.

They are roughly 8.5 gallons, and offer the same floor space as a 10gallon tank, but with a lower profile. The partition is a nice touch as well, but will not be used in my application.

I take off a star because they are not the most secure of cages as the lids can be a bit too loose, I will be having to modify mine a bit before use but it's not a big deal, a few zip-ties and some crazy glue should be more then enough to fix any issues I will be encountering.

As is, this would make a great enclosure for amphibians, small terrestrial lizards like leopard geckos, and invertebrates of all kinds. I would recommend the tubs for rack applications as well since they are already ventilated, and are much easier to see into then sterilite containers. =3

My daughter had been keeping a roly-poly 'farm' in an old rubbermaid tray. She requested this upgrade for her ecosystem. The first one came missing a part, but our seller provided a replacement promptly after we described the problem. It came with a transparent green cover with clear plastic hatch lids and flow throw 'grating' on the lid. Works well for things too large to get through the grating, or unable to climb the walls.

This cage is great for the price. I use them for reptiles that do not need a lot of height like leopard geckos. They have plenty of room for an individual adult. They are a great alternative to a ten gallon aquarium.
