the local pet store wanted 3x what amazon is charging... that laone makes it a great value.

It also happens to be very well madethe hinges are smooth and don't catch... and the mesh gauge is nice and thick not saggy.

I'm very satisfied.

The item came with a few dings and dents, not a big deal. I really wished it fit my 125 gallon tank. It's good on the length, but its just a bit short on the width. 1/8" short to be exact. It's not a big deal that it doesn't fit my tank exactly because I'm going to build an "above tank basking area"(ATBA) for my red eared sliders, now all I have to do is custom fit a rim above my ATBA that will allow the screen cover to sit flush.

Would've given it that fifth star but because it doesn't fit my tank exactly I'm going to have to make some design changes to the ATBA. Otherwise its a great product. If I wasn't going to build an ATBA then there would be bigger problems and potentially a lower review because it didn't fit my tank.
