Lights up my tank way better then with just a dome. My beardie loves it. The better setting seems to have perked him up a bit more.
I have recently been searching high and low for the items to help my son build his first reptile enclosure. We have been to all the major pet stores and a few local reptile shops as well. Overall this is an excellent beginner set up. Pet Smart had the same light for $39.99 and then the bulb was an additional $24.99 +tax...We purchased this item from Amazon and/or its affiliate. Even though this is one of the rare items that you need to pay for shipping...shipping was $5.99....less than the tax if I had bought the item in the store! Overall I paid about 60% of retail for this item and it was packaged nicely and arrived very quickly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
