I purchased this as a $3 or $4 add on item for Prime. I like the container and the price better than Excel. If they came out with a more innovative (maybe squirt type) bottle, I'd guess that they can give Seachem some real competition. How do I know this is the same as Excel? This stuff smells the same and looks the same, so it's an assumption on my part. My plants are really flourishing with Easy Carbo as well. Before you purchase though, make sure you check the price of the larger bottles(500ml, 1000ml) of Easy Carbo.
