The filter came dusty I guess it was a old one , it had minor scratches but it works fine and keeping my tank real clean and super quiet

Used this to replace my old 403. Had it about a month, it's doing a great job. The hose connection is really handy, makes clean out a breeze.

This filter is great, versatile baskets inside and super easy to keep clean without damaging the love bacteria inside. The only downfall is the pipe used... It's ribbed and therefore needs special connectors. If you want to add an inline reactor or a uv filter you either have to use different pipe or get your hands on there special connectors... I scrapped the pipe and when to a flexible tube with more versatility.
