Correct, the picture does not look exactly like the item (google Danner Supreme MagDrive 7 for actual photos and price comparison). Easily places in-sump for underwater delivery. For optimal flow, it is suggested to connect the outlet to a 1/2"-to-1" pvc adapter, making the return line 1" in diameter instead. This pump does make some vibration noise, which was easily minimized by taking aquarium grade clear silicone and simply making a 'web' of lines underneath for form a cushion of silicone to sit on.

Have not owned long enough to review, but I will let buyers be aware; it is not what you see in the picture at all. (besides being a pump and having inlet/outlet)
