I interrupted the nitrogen cycle in my 55 gallon tank when I took out the under gravel filter and replaced it with a Fluval 305 canister filter with all new bio media. Needless to say I have over a dozen of my prize angelfish in the tank. Using NovAqua Plus and Amquel Plus along with frequent partial water changes to keep ammonia levels down during the re-cycling of the tank has not only worked, but the fish are growing like beasts and very, very healthy!
