This bowl is not very heavy like the last stainless steel bowl that I had. That's a good thing! My dog is only 22 lbs. No reason to have a bowl that weighs half her weight when there is a rubber removable band around the bottom to prevent movement. The paw prints are a dark brown which looks better than if they would be the typical black color. Seems like sturdy plastic and looks really nice.
