I'm not usually one to buy air ornaments, but I came across this looking at airstones and the idea of a satellite in my tank tickled me so I gave it a shot. Have had it running for a couple of weeks now and it works great.I didn't know what sort of motion it would have when I ordered it based on the description, but this is what it does: the air bubbles out of the top of the satellite neat the antennas, the panels rotate. The satelite itself slowly rotates from side to side from the panels moving, but the ornament stays in the same place that it is floating. It won't travel around the tank.
It isn't small, arout 6 inches wide from panel tip to panel tip. I have it in a 60 gallon tall aquarium. The weight is heavy and sturdy. I would have liked to have it be smaller so it wouldn't take up so much space. Other than the size, this is a cool thing to see.
