Purple stuff is soooo hard to get to develop in your tank, but this stuff helps it along a lot quicker. I love this stuff, couldn't have a purdy tank without it!This or purple up, seem to do the same thing. You can achieve the same with patience and time in a stable system with proper cal and alk levels, or you can speed it up a bit with this stuff. I think it's worth using a supplement. Remember you need the coralline first, before this can help it spread. I would recommend it though.Buy Kent Marine Purple Tech Now
I received the product only to find that the lid was barely on and the product had leaked into the bag. So I only got to use half of the product that I paid for. I notified Amazon and they never responded. The product works great, but I would recommend buying locally because apparently Amazon doesn't care about their packaging enough to respond.I tried to use this while my tank was going through a cycle to give my coraline a boost and it started to work seen some color growing on my rock but then when I did my weekly water test I noticed my alkalinity was pretty high (14 ppm ) so I stopped using it for now if you have fish only then go for it but I had some coral I needed to put in the tank and didn't want to risk the high alkWOW. Ok I have a 90 gallon tank, I did the recommended dose I followed instructions to the T, this stuff grew Everywhere, the rocks, sand and the glass. My husband had to take me to get more clean up crews to get it under control. Works great, however I would suggest using half the dose amount for the first few weeks.
