This is a very straight forward protein skimmer. I have it in my 125 gallon fish only tank and it's sucking out the DOC's with charm. The only problem is the hose underneath can get kinked which takes out the bubbles, but the little troubleshooting guide that comes with it tells you that this is a possibility so it's easy to fix.
