This is the only rawhide I feel comfortable giving my puppy. With all the horror stories about shards of rawhide breaking off, getting caught in dogs' throats or digestive systems, or the horrible chemicals in imported rawhides, I had no plans to ever give my puppy rawhide. My 80 lb. dog loves to chew. This bone makes her very happy and interested. The bacon starts her off and then she'll devour the whole bone later. I give these to her as a special treat and she acts accordingly.
