GloFish Aquarium Kit with Blue LED Light, 5-Gallon

GloFish Aquarium Kit with Blue LED Light, 5-GallonThis is a wonderful little tank. we decided that we wanted to get a few fish, so we looked into options for a place for them to live. The first idea was a cute little led colored bubbler tank, but they topped out at three gallons, and we wanted the fish to have a bit of room. The normal everyday 10gal tank was out of the question, because we live in a small apartment and barely have room to move around as it is. After a bit of research into tanks we decided to go with this one as it has the nice led lighting, room for a small fish to move around, comes with a filter system, and wasn't really heavy. The only place we have to keep a tank in on top of a folding wire dog kennel that our cute little dog lives in, to much weight and we would not only be out a fish tank, but be shopping for a new kennel.

A tank of this size means you have to be careful of which fish you choose to live inside it. Anything that grows to a large size is out of the question, the rule I found out is 1 inch of fish per gallon of water. That means if you get fish an inch long you can put five in this tank without overloading it. If you wish to have more fish, you should get a larger tank. So this limited the choices of fish a bit.

We ended up going with two of the fish the tank is named for glo-fish (one pink one green), and since it was on sale a little fiddler crab, (everything said we should wait on the crab as it takes awhile for the tank to grow the right kind of bacteria, but he is so cute we got him anyway) then we stopped at a pet store named for fish and picked some tiny neon tetra's and a couple zebra danio's. all the fish lined up nose to tail might be 4 inches(if you pull hard on each one as you measure), so with the crab (that does morning exercise), we are right at the limit for this tank.

Little tanks mean more cleaning as there is no space for anything to hide. The fish eat, that means after the food is processed thru the fish it has to go somewhere, which means you have to get that back out of the tank. Plus new fresh gravel tends to cloud the water (something else I just learned), so has to be clean often. all this leads to every other day cleaning for the first month of ownership I am told. I didn't know it was going to be so much work to keep the little tank going, but its really not that hard to clean if you get a gravel cleaner (available at most pet stores for around ten dollars). It takes less time to clean the tank, than it does to pre heat the oven. I know as she was starting to make diner when I got off work and turned the oven on to pre heat, before it was ready for the food to go in the tank was cleaned and ready to roll. This all means that its not much of time consuming task to clean up.

The fish seem very happy, they zip back and forth and dart thru all the decorations (not included with the tank but easy to find), and the crab climbs into places that make you wonder how it could possible get there. Its a very relaxing thing to have in the home as I find myself watching the little fish darting around instead of watching the television so much. Plus feeding time is allot of fun as the fish get to be really active trying to get all the food for themselves (they hate to share).

For those of us out there without allot of space and with a desire to have little finned creatures zipping around in our homes, I highly recommend this tank.

For those out there with more space I would say find something a lot larger and fill it with fun things like little freshwater sharks.

My mom got this tank for my son for his birthday to replace a cracked aquarium that had held a betta we got the aquarium and started putting it together. There was a small piece of the base broken on it but I figured it's ok no big deal after all the aquarium is intact, the light is amazingly bright and the betta was loving having more room to swim but then I plugged in the filter and the filter started to pull him to it. The filter is way too powerful for a betta so currently it is a 5 gallon fish bowl with a pretty blue light. This is a beautiful tank but I will be replacing the filter because if the betta gets stuck to it it will kill him and I don't want to explain that to my son.

I purchased this for my 13 year old daughter for her room. She had been begging for a fish tank and I needed one she could take care of by herself, this is such easy care it came with everything vital needed. I got the rest of the plants and things at petsmart because the price was lower and the fish at a local pet store, her tank is so cute. I have to say the fish HATE the light! They hide whenever it is turned on, there is no way to adjust the brighness if it and to be honest she didn't care for it either because it was so bright. All in all the price on Amazon is $40.00 or more cheaper than anywhere else around so it's a GREAT buy. Oh, one other downside, since it was for a girl on my end and it being in her bedroom...she does her hair, alll the time and she HAS to leave the room to spray perfume, hairspray etc due to it having a completley open top. I can see that being a problem for other families so consider that when you purchase it, and where it will be placed with other pets and or children.

Mars Fishcare 164F 5-in-1 PondCare Test Strips

Mars Fishcare 164F 5-in-1 PondCare Test StripsI bought this and the full bottles, drops, timing complicated, time consuming kit. The results came out the same. for my money, this is so darn easy and a great way to get a quick read. The bottles and drops takes about a half an hour to complete all the tests. I have had koi for about 10 years now but I really haven't taken the time to become really knowledgeable so I'm not sure how valuable my opinion is.

MINI BOW 1 JUNIOR AQUARIUM KIT - TINY TEAL

MINI BOW 1 JUNIOR AQUARIUM KIT - TINY TEALI recently bought the Mini Bow Aquarium one gallon kit for my apartment. It now houses my red Betta named Anubis. For the first few days everything went swimmingly well with my aquarium. That is up until yesterday when I came home to see that the air pump was nothing but a piece of garbage (i.e died on me while I was away at work). So now Anubis' home is without a pump but that may be for the best since Bettas do prefer to be in calm waters. Besides it was a pain in the rear end to try to set up the pump properly so the water would not spill out of the tank (which I learned the hard way). Because I had bought a plastic strip thermometer for the tank, I have noticed that when the lamp is on, it does heat up the water a couple of degrees. For a Betta that is great because Bettas do need to be in 72 to 80 degree temperature water. I turn off the lamp at night but the temp only drops down to 72 from 74 during the night. The aquarium does not come with any gravel or decorations. A 2 pound bag of gravel is just fine. As for the decorations, just watch what you buy due to space. I have a little cave in my tank which took up quite a bit of room but thankfully Anubis can swim thru it to get to the other side of the tank. Still my Betta has more room in this tank than he would in a regular fish bowl. For Bettas, the Mini Bow aquarium is fine but I can barely recommend the tank for any Betta enthusiast or new Betta owners.

I love the color teal, this teal is very vivid & beautiful. The aquarium arrived on time, was quick & easy to setup, & we love it. Since it does not have a filtration system, I would recommend it for a Betta only. But that is just my opinion. It is getting harder & harder to find these mini-bow aquarium's....so if you want one...I would act quickly. They also come in 2.5 gallon & 5 gallon....but not in teal. Those are red, black, & blue I believe. Walmart carries them, but is often out of stock. These here are priced as cheap, or cheaper than Walmart. All you need is a gallon of spring water, some water treatment for Betta's (use half the recommended amount if using the pre-filtered gallon of spring water). The gallon costs less than a dollar at Walmart & the Betta water treatment can be found at Walmart or Pets Mart. One very small plant, I found several different ones at Pets Mart in a variety of colors for 99 cents each. A pound or even a little less than a pound of rocks or polished marble stones, & a small temparature strip to stick on the side of the tank. Most importantly a 10 watt heater for tanks 10 gallons or smaller made by Aqueon that can also be found at Pets Mart for $15 bucks. It gets a little cold for them in the winter & I have had some die in the past. They are tropical fish, & like the heat. The heater will keep the water at a constant 78 degrees & requires no adjusting. I got some color enhancing Betta pellets & also some bloodworm flakes that I can crumble up while the Betta is young & his mouth is still small. This also adds a little variety to their diet, making them more colorful & helping them to live longer.Last but not least, a Betta of your choice. This tank is so small it will fit virtually anywhere. A desk, a dresser, a bathroom counter, an end table etc. We like ours so much, we have ordered a 2nd to house another Betta we just purchased!

This product is great for housing a betta. I have three of these in red, purple, and black and im going to buy the teal to house my new betta, Waffle. These are great betta tanks, but dont house any other kind of fish in it. In al my tanks, I have two plants, a small round cichlid stone, and a decoration. My bettas love them. Its the perfect size for a betta. THe air pump is a piece of garbage though if you're housing a betta i would recommend tossing it. This product is great for bettas and I would recommend it to any betta owner!

Vibran-Sea Flowering Broad Leaf hand Silk-Style Aquarium Plant, Large 13-14 tall, Blue

Vibran-Sea Flowering Broad Leaf hand Silk-Style Aquarium Plant, Large 13-14 tall, BlueBefore I ordered this blue 13-inch silk plant for my 26-gallon freshwater aquarium I wondered what a blue plant would look like. It is far more beautiful than I could ever have expected. It is a delicate blue in different shades with pink touches. It shows off my small colorful fish. The plant was larger than I thought it would be, coming to 3/4 the height of the tank and taking up nearly half the width of the tank. My new little colorful fish love swimming in and around the soft leaves. The plant sways in the water currents. I have never seen a silk plant this beautiful. I think it would be fine for smaller tanks of 10 or 20 gallons also. Amazon sells this for an amazing price.

My betta loves to rest among the silk leaves. The Vibran-Sea silk plant is well made and soft, so it doesn't damage delicate betta fins, not to mention it is really pretty. I highly recommend this silk plant for any aquarium! It was well packaged and was received promptly!

The plant looks good in the aquarium. I was going for a different look and this plant provided the change of place I wanted. The fish appear to like the broad leaves to hide in. Like with any silk plant one has to keep algae growth under control or else you risk permanent discoloration of the silk leaves.

Scoopmaid By Littermaid Self-Cleaning Crystal Litter Box, White/Blue, Multi-Cat

Scoopmaid By Littermaid Self-Cleaning Crystal Litter Box, White/Blue, Multi-CatIf, like me, you're looking to minimize the amount of work that goes into cleaning the litter box, and eliminate the necessity of touching waste, this is by far the worst product you could purchase.

The disposable / replacable litter trays (which are expensive) are supposed to last 3 weeks. They last 7 to 10 days at the very most, IF you're willing to put up with urine soaking through to your floor and waste overflowing from the little compartment it's supposed to be scooped into.

The waste constantly gets stuck on the scooper so you have to remove it manually. The scooper really only works efficiently about 40% to 50% of the time; the rest of the time, the waste just sits in the open. When it comes time to replace the tray and clean the unit, it's the messiest process I've ever gone through. With the design of the box, there's no way of getting around touching urine, and I feel like I need a shower and my bathroom needs to be hosed down afterwards. This is way more work and way more messy than the normal $10 litter box I used to have. I'm getting rid of the thing after just a couple months of use.

I had originally given this 1 star, but now that I've figured out that you need to rake the crystals back out of the bin every other day, it's working fine. It can't jam (which the littermaid always did), and it controls the odor VERY well if you keep it straightened out. It takes a little more work than I had hoped, but it's still WAY less work than the littermaid. It used to take me about 20 minutes to clean the old one, which had to be done every other day. Changing the box on this one takes about four minutes, counting sealing up the old one and opening the shrink-wrap on the new and doing the few little things to get the bin ready, and that's every six or seven days with our two large cats. The COMPLETE lack of litter dust and smell is also wonderful.

Previous review: Any smell-reducing power this thing has is coming exclusively from the litter crystals. The idea of this device is that the rake should go through the crystals, leaving them in the box, and scoop the solids out and into the little containment bin. After a week of using it and checking it every day to see how it's doing, it looks like it does the impossible. Somehow, it pushes all the crystals into the containment bin and leaves the solids in the box. After the first time it runs, half or more of the crystals are shoved under the lid, propping it open, and there are places of exposed box-bottom where there are no crystals left in the box. Not sure how they managed that, but they did. Since prior to this we've had five or six unreliable littermaids, I'm not really surprised. I think we're going to try the Scoopfree box that's similar to this instead.

Buy Scoopmaid By Littermaid Self-Cleaning Crystal Litter Box, White/Blue, Multi-Cat Now

Seriously, for a $80 (on sale), it is a complete waste of money. For the headache and the amount of work I still have to do to keep it clean, I would be better off just getting a regular litter box.

First of all,the advertising in the product description that it can last up 3 weeks to a month without changing the litter is completely bogus. I have ONE small kitten about 8 weeks old when I first got this contraption, and I had to do the first change of the litter barely after only a week!

I think mostly this is because the compartment at the end, where the waste goes after it has been raked is barely an inch big. So, after just a few days (2-5 time use a day, you do the math) it gets full and overflowing quickly and the grater ended up pushing/dragging some of the waste back and forth across the litter. Also, when it gets too full like that, the grater keeps pushing so there will be litter and sometimes feces leaked and spilled on the front, making a mess. To prevent this, every other day, I ended up having to scoop the waste manually to prevent the waste receptacle from overflowing. I cant imagine people that have multiple adult cats. And the description does boast that it is ideal for multiple cats! What a bunch of baloney!

Another problem is that the rake is metal, thus sometimes it just plowed through the feces, and some ended up getting stuck on it. You literally have to scrape it off! Yuck! The crystals are not really good at trapping the urine fast enough that sometimes, it just soaked through the cardboard and end up staining and messing up the floor.

The machine itself is expensive. I thought that I traded the high price for LESS work to do as far of keeping an eye on it, cleaning it etc etc. Adding the insult and robbery, the replacement litter trays, which is made from CARDBOARD only, is also so expensive!! That, to me is just a total rip-off!.

I wasn't so sure, but i have mastered it. It isn't perfect, but it is better than what i was using. I have three cats using one box. i have discovered if i scoop the poop from the little conpartment every few days and rake the crystals back into the box it works! No litter paw prints all over the hard wood floors from being tracked out and no urine smell!! Would like if they sold seperate Crystals so i could add some to the box, because one of my cats likes to dig and throw them out of the box!

The cats pan does NOT do what it is supposed to.It just pushes the urine and feces to one side.I am very disappointed in this product.

biUbe Pure Aquarium with Halogen Light, Clear, 9 Gallons

biUbe Pure Aquarium with Halogen Light, Clear, 9 GallonsI wanted to buy a small aquarium for my bedroom so after doing some research, I decided on a Reef One Aquarium. I really wanted the biOrb Life 45 for the extra gallons and the fact that it doesn't distort the fish, but decided against it because I thought it wasn't worth the price. So, I got the biUbe and I am very satisfied.

I have had aquariums since I was young, and though I am no expert by any means, I know that the bigger the tank, the easier it is to maintain. The problem is, I really couldn't fit anything too big in my little bedroom so I thought this aquarium would be perfect and it is. When doing my research, some people advised against these kinds of aquariums, but the people who actually have the tank don't really have too many complaints about them. As long as you're patient and follow directions, you shouldn't have a problem.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of:

1.) The pump that comes with the aquarium is very loud and annoying. If you are putting your tank in a room with lots of white noise, then this shouldn't be a problem, but in a bedroom all I hear is a loud buzzing noise coming from the pump. I immediately replaced the pump with a different brand that produced less noise. Although most air pumps do submit some noise, compared to the one by Reef One, the new one is way better.

2.) The pump that comes with the tank is not known to last very long and requires a replacement within 6 months to a year (some people say less, they even tell you to keep a spare pump for this reason in the book). Do yourself a favor and just purchase the Tetra Whisper 10 gallon air pump here on amazon for $9.99. It's cheaper than biOrb's pump, last longer, and not as noisy. I bought 2 for that price.

3.) Reef One wants you to replace the filter too often and this can be pricey. Talk to some people who have had their biOrb for a while and they will tell you how to prolong the filter pad life.

4.) The aquarium is made of acrylic. While acrylic is much stronger than glass, it scratches so easily. Just be careful not to use anything to rough like paper towels or a rag. I brought a few microfiber clothes to clean the aquarium.

The above things are miner and can definitely be worked around. Just keep in mind that pretty much any aquarium smaller than a 20 or 30 gallon requires a little more time and effort.

Having known all this before I purchased my biUbe, I absolutely love my tank! It is very beautiful and doesn't take up too much room in my small bedroom because of its shape.

P.S. The title for the biUbe from amazon.com wrong. It actually comes with the biOrb Intelligent LED light not the halogen light.

UPDATE: Well, I have been having the tank for a few months now and I love it even more everyday. I actually prefer it over the biOrb Life 60, which I also have. I am up to 4 fish now (please follow the directions in only adding 1 or 2 small fish per month, otherwise your tank can crash, killing the fish, and go through a mini cycle if the bio-load gets too overwhelmed). I added a small internal filter behind my bubble tube cover just for some added filtration. If you are worried about the fish being distorted, it's really not that bad at all. You still get a very good view of the fish when they come swimming around. Remember, small tanks take a little more patience, so don't be in a hurry to get a full stock right after your tank is done cycling. Take your time and enjoy!

Most little tanks look like they belong on a 9 year old's night stand. This one, thankfully, does not. It is artistic in it's design but it does not hinder you from actually keeping fish. I have it on a little table in my office and it's just the right amount of size for that space.

Simple to put to together, and very low-maintenance. It takes about 5-10 minutes a week to do a water change. Changing the filter is a snap -just pull out the tube and twist off the filter. Put the new one on and put it back. That's it.

I have a heater in mine so i can keep tropical fish. Doesn't take too big of one to heat this baby.

The vertical configuration makes it slightly tricky to get decor to work right, but i've found that the smaller stuff works just fine if you plan it right.

The LED lights that come with this are awesome. You can set it to many different settings of timing for your sunrise/sunset routine. The weirdest thing is that it goes from 8 hrs to 14 hrs of daylight for a choice with nothing in between. But the light really enhances the fish -and the pure clear outside allows them to really show up well.

I've seen a few reviews on amazon (for other colors) that were so negative it's hard to believe it's the same item. People blaming the Biube for killing their fish? Really? It's a plastic tube with a pump and rocks. The only issues i've had were smaller fish trying to dig into the rocks for food and getting stuck as the rocks are like volcanic rock and not small smooth pebbles. This is to enhance the natural bio filter.

Anyway I highly recommend this tank. I want to get another one.

Buy biUbe Pure Aquarium with Halogen Light, Clear, 9 Gallons Now

I love my new Biube Pure aquarium, and what's more important is that our betta fishy, Braveheart, is more flippy than ever. He is our second betta, and he and Fishy 1 lived in an unfiltered 2.5 gallon vase bowl prior to this (serial inhabitants). Fishy 1 lived for 4 years in that environment and was happy. Fishy 2 (Braveheart) lived in the bowl for about 6 months before I started researching for a new aquarium. The water was starting to grow slime film and was increasingly getting difficult to keep clean. I don't like the look of boxy aquariums, so when I came across the Biube, I thought that's the new home for Braveheart!

Wanting to do everything right now, I cycled the tank before putting fishy in -it took 4 weeks, but I feel is well worth the effort. I followed instructions by this person (search fish keeping forum uk and jenny bugs post 6259), and cycled my tank fish less using the ammonia method. Fishy's been in his new home for over a week now and loves it. He dances more and swims through his castle all the time, which he wasn't doing so much in his last home. I've got a bunch of real plants now and he loves to explore the tank. I was worried the depth might be a problem for him, because bettas generally come from shallow waters, but immediately when I put him in the tank, he swam down to the bottom to check everything out. He hangs out all over the tank and sleeps in the plants at night. I have a Fluval M 50 watt heater that I also got on amazon to keep him nice and cozy -bettas like 78-80 degree water. And finally, because they prefer calmer water, I bought a flow regulator to put in the air line. We've reduced the bubbles to a light flow, while still aerating the water for the plants and filtering purposes. I just tested the water today to check how everything is doing since he was added and all the levels (nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia) are perfect! :)

I'm considering getting him some tank mates (tetras) when we get back from christmas vacation. Also, the air pump is a little noisy so we may get a tetra whisper as another reviewer suggested. Overall, we're very happy.

The clear plexiglass of this tank makes it almost transparent, so you can see the fish really well. Since it has less filtering (out of the box) than a regular tank, it is important not to overload it with too many (or too large) fish. I modified it by using smaller gravel over the rocks that come with it, because the rocks (which are necessary for the biological filter) are quite ugly and excess food gets trapped in it. I also added a small Tom filter (the smallest one, it's only

Float Aqua Log for Pet

Zoo Med Floating Aquarium Log, SmallI bought this because I have a lone guppy in a ten-gallon tank, and I found out the guppies like to hide in order to relieve their fish-stress. Well, my guppy swam through this floating log about twice that I saw, but never adopted it as a "hang out".

Also, these floating logs really do float and one day I saw to my horror my guppy trapped between the log and one of the sides of the aquarium. So I took it out and now it's in my "another great aquarium idea that didn't work" box. I'm rather disappointed.

This very nice looking product could be improved by some sort of anchoring mechanism that would keep it from floating out of control in tanks with moving currents of water. I would have jury-rigged such a mechanism myself if the guppy liked the log, but he didn't.

Not as realistic as some other aquarium decor, but floats as advertised. Fantastic price for the buy (other stores were selling for 4x as much.

This realistically ugly plastic log floats on the surface of the tank providing a hiding place for brooding mouthbrooders and chewed-on males. Like penn-plex's cliffs and caves, it provides a hiding place away from the prime territory at the tank bottoms, so the dominant males leave it alone. There are no suction cups to fail and it sits in a stable orientation and does not roll. It boast a "feeding hole", but I wouldn't use it. If the aggressive fish find food in they won't leave it alone.

My betta loves this log. He sleeps in it rather than the betta leaf hamock thing I got him and will chase the other fish in the tank away from it. Only downside is if you've got a territorial and aggressive fish it could become a bit of a war zone, so it may not be for ever tank.

This product is probably better suited for turtles and frogs. Some fish may like it. My fish could care less. When the fish are hanging around the top of the tank, especially while feeding, they may pass through it just to get to the other side...meaning they go through it because that is easier than swimming around it or under it at the moment. Otherwise they ignore it. Am going to try it in another tank with a different type of fish and see how they react to it.

API Safe and Easy Aquarium Spray, 8-Ounce

API Safe and Easy Aquarium Spray, 8-OunceMost specifically I find when using this product to clean something slanted or vertical it is best to drape a paper towel on whatever it is and spray the paper towel through to it. Let it "soak" as directed on the bottle for a few minutes, then make sure you wipe it off with a *wet* paper towel/cloth/what-have-you as directed on the bottle. When I use it this way it works wonders on the hard water 'crust' on the glass canopy, light cover, filter cover, miscellaneous. I love this product!

I did find that when I didn't follow those exact instructions (i.e., surface was not in contact with solution while the 3 minutes was going on, it was left there long enough to evaporate or drip off, or I wiped the solution off with a dry paper towel/cloth) it was singularly unimpressive. But hey, that's what directions are for. ^_^

After using this product twice I would have to say that it does not work. You are supposed to leave the solution on for 3 minutes before washing items and I did this the 1st time, the 2nd time I left the solution on longer and I still have hard water stains and salt build up. I honestly get a better clean from using dishsoap.

I prefer to use only cleaning products that are natural, so that I am much less likely to contaminate my fish tanks when going back & forth between the two. I even use other natural cleaners such as Method brand throughout my home so that we are not putting our pet's health in jeopardy throughout day-to-day living.

Bought this to be able to keep the glass on my turtle tank cleaner. It works to a certain degree but not anywhere near as well as I had hoped. I clean the filters and tank every Sunday so it's not like water has a chance to build up for long. We're also on very well filtered creek water so there are no chemicals, chlorine or anything else in our water. It is crystal clear. I had high hopes but it's only so-so.

I never got the chance to use it. It was empty and had leaked all through the box. Maybe I will try again. And maybe not.

Laguna PowerFlo Filter Coupling, 4500/1000

Laguna PowerFlo Filter Coupling, 4500/1000My original filter coupling kept popping off, so I pushed the tab and it broke. I ordered this part as it was described as the same item. It came in the time promised and it fit right in and it's been working ever since. Excellent replacement part.

U.P. Aqua Super Atomizer (large)

U.P. Aqua Super AtomizerI bought this product for use with my pressurized CO2 system. First off, this atomizer requires a lot of pressure. The first day it fizzed perfectly and I was very happy with it. The next day it was fizzing about half as much as the first day and required more pressure. By the third day, it was no longer fizzing even with increased pressure high enough to start ballooning the CO2 tubing. I ordered this product twice and the same thing happened both times in the same amount of time. I was hoping that it was originally a defective product on the first one but that doesn't appear to be the case. I would NOT recommend buying this product.

Based on the previous reviews I purchased this atomizer in early April 2012 to replace and old Aquatek 3 in 1 diffuser installed in a CO2 pressurized system @ ±35 psi and it did not ouput as many fine bubbles as supposed to, first it took a very long time to start outputting bubbles, finally when the bubbles started to flow, they were big, like out of an air stone, thus not fully dissolving in the water column.

If you purchase this atomizer, I hope you get a non defective one since this has 5 star reviews.

And last but not least, Thank you Amazon for allowing me to return this item.

The diffuser produces a lot of medium and large bubbles instead of a fine mist of tiny, barely visible bubbles. The bubbles from this type of diffuser are supposed to be so tiny that they are hard to see individually and instead form a "mist". As you can see from the video it is not the case of this diffuser.

I replaced a "classic" CO2 diffuser (the type with a horizontal ceramic disk mounted in glass) with this one for my 125l aquarium. CO2 concentration dropped from 30 ppm to 16 ppm within 2 hours (I am measuring CO2 precisely with a professional device).

A good product in this category is the Green Leaf Aquariums Atomic Co2 Diffuser II (unfortunately Amazon doesn't carry it, look it up on youtube to see how it is supposed to work).

This product may be cheap but it will waste your CO2 and thus it will be more expensive in the long term.

This atomizer requires very high working pressure. It didn't get a decent flow rate until I got up to 50 PSI which is way too high for an aquarium setup, in fact my pressure relief valve trips at 51 PSI.

Would not recommend.

All Glass Aquarium AAG21216 Fluorescent Deluxe Hood, 16-Inch

All Glass Aquarium AAG21216 Fluorescent Deluxe Hood, 16-InchI left a review on the 6th which was negative. Ann from Alpet talked with me and I found out that a tape strip was

not removed when I took the tape off and turned the light around all was ok. Boy do I feal stupid; thank you Ann

for the help.

I was looking for a new hood that had an enclosed bulb after reading a horror story of someone finding their betta burned and dried out in the little shield covering the bulb of the hood I currently had and so instantly rushed to the internet to find one like this. It's perfect for what I wanted but the size of it seemed a little off: it's too big to sit on the lip of my tank but too small to just sit on top of it but I can deal with that as long as it doesn't fall into my tank and hurt my little Ignatius. My only complaint is the little plastic backing that just slides on or should slide on and stay slightly on, right? Mine doesn't, it's fallen into my tank 5 times since I got it in yesterday but I fixed that easily by taping it onto the little lip of the hood. Overall, as long as it keeps my little guy in his tank and doesn't fry him I'm all for this hood and recommend it despite the small little flaws since they are easily dealt with. Oh! I also like that the light switch instead of being a push button or a twist knob is flip switch if anyone needed to know that considering that was the kind of switch I was hoping for so maybe someone else is too.

I have a small apartment, and wanted a small aquarium to go along with it. Funny how easy it is to find a 5 gallon tank, and how difficult it is to find an appealing hood with an enclosed bulb for one. This product is cheap and looks attractive.
