I admit I might have gotten a lemon but I have been having problems with this Thermometer. Don't get me wrong, it does tell the temp & it looks okay in the tank but it keeps coming off of the side of the tank. I have tried several different spots & yes I have cleaned both the spots and the suction cup before adhering it to the glass but within a day or so it always comes off. It did work okay for about a month or so but hasn't worked for weeks since. I'm going to use an airline suction cup the next time I dig it out from the bottom of my tank and hope that it works better.Want Fluval Nano Thermometer Discount?
This little guy is small enough to not be obnoxious in a smaller aquarium. I have a Fluval Edge tank and wanted to be able to read the temp readily, without having a thermometer that would be an eye-sore. I hate putting the 'digital' types on that use adhesive; if you go to remove them, there's a residue to deal with, which is not at all to my liking. This has a sturdy suction cup and is easy to read. So that it would be both functional and out of the way, I put it on the top of my tank in a back corner, making it completely invisible unless I'm looking down into the tank. For me, this is perfect. It doesn't have any frills and the numbers are truncated, so if you need something that says "80, 81, 82, etc" this is not for you. However, for my purposes it's perfect. You have tick marks between single digit numbers, so it isn't hard at all to figure out the temp while keeping the thermometer inconspicuous.
