Well I got this product and the first thing I noticed was this thing was big 4 inches doesn't sound like alot till it's in your tank and wow is it big, I have it inMy 36 gallon bow front and I'm wishing I had got the smaller one already, other than that this is easy to set up and within an hour was already producing skim mate, I'm very happy with the feel of the product it doesn't feel cheap at all and its very quiet just you hear the bubbles poping defiantly recommend this product to anyone
It really is a "Toilet System" for your tank, it takes your fishes pipi and pupu out!!! Thats all what it is!!! LOL... Very quiet and looks good too.

Not bad for a Cyber Monday discounted purchase. If not set just right, it does have a loud hum to it. But, once I got it all sitting just right, it is quiet.Want Hydor USA SlimSkim Internal Skimmer for Mini Aquariums and Mini Reefs Discount?
First I should say that this product seems very well build and designed with high quality materials. However after almost two weeks I could not get it to produce material skimate and after two weeks the tank was still filled with micro bubbles. It is also very difficult to get set up as it seems like the suction cups can't quite hold it in place and the lip of the aquarium prevents it from going as high as I would have liked (30 gal cube with typical black plastic bracing). I attribute these difficulties to the lack of performance.I see others have had better luck; however I'll go back to the traditional in-sump skimmer.
