Acurel LLC Premium Activated Filter Carbon, 40-Ounce

I gave this a four because when I opened the package it had a piece of lightly charred grass inside it, it leads me to question what kind of wood or operation is supplying this product. I'm a little nervous to use it considering my finding as well as the lack of sealing this jar. I like the handle on it, I just need a little more securtiy myself when adding something like this to an aquarium that is very expensive and fragile (Nature Aquarium).

Works great! The large size is economical and will last a long time. Great supplement to my regular standard cartridges.

I was looking for the lighter weight activated charcoal that needs a large container to contain 40oz, like in the picture. What I received is heavier charcoal in a smaller container. Seems like decent charcoal, it's just not what I was looking for. I should have just gone with Marineland.
