I definitely like the acrylic look over the ceramic ones also these are the only ones that fit the eshopps frag rack.

My customers like the acrylic better too because its easier to dislodge the frag and is more aesthetically pleasing

These Frag rack are half way decent the rack itself is pretty nice however, it is the thinnest most fragile acrylic I have seen before. I am pretty sure it is about an 8th of an inch thick. This shouldn't be a problem; however, there are other reasons why I would consider this thing cheap junk! One is that they encase the magnets in a thin layer of acrylic that easily cracks and breaks, if you let the magnets go without ensuring that you hold back the force of the magnetic pull. EShopps knows that this is a problem as they leave a piece of paper in the box saying that they will not warranty these cheap plastic/acrylic magnets if you break them. Well first of all, why in the world would they encase these magnets in acrylic so thin that they can break so easily!!! They could have simply included some rubber caps for the magnets so that they don't break so easy like for instance the Hydor powerheads do with their magnets. An yes, I opened up the box started unpacking it and the magnets accidently forced each other together and cracked one of the magnets right off the bat, and I was actually holding the magnet and this still happened, so point being the magnets are the worst part of this rack. The second reason why I will never buy one of these again is that normal plug sizes except for a select few, mostly the half inch plugs, i.e. the small diameter top plate (circle) and the "The Frag Station" which do fit with the 1" tops. So your are very limited on what plugs fiit in the holes! So yes, I have tons of plugs that don't fit! Third is they make you coming back to them for their clear plastic plugs or you have to use half inch plugs or the The Frag Station plus otherwise the holes are too small. ATTENION everybody, if you go to YOUR LOCAL FISH/CORAL SHOPP AND BUY A FRAG, DON'T PLAN ON IT FITTING IN THIS RACK! ALSO, PLAN ON BUYING YOUR OWN MAGNETS FOR THIS FRAG RACK AS THE ONES IT COMES WITH WILL EVENTUALLY BRAKE DUE TO THE MAGNETS BEING ENCASED IN 1/16TH INCH ACRYLIC! GO BUY YOUR SELF A PIECE OF EGGCRATE OR PLAN ON USING THEIR PLUGS OR HALF INCH DIAMETER PLUGS AND BUYING REPLACEMENT MAGNETS!
