I have three dwarf hamsters, for a dwarf hamster this cage does everything very good. I have summarized all of the good points below.

Pluses

SizeThe area of this cage is an average size I measured about 10" X 15" but the cage is also very tall 15" the cage is plenty big enough for one dwarf hamster.

Ventalationvery good being a wire cage.

Water bottleThe standard Criter trail one with a ball to keep it from leaking.

Wheelgood size for dwarf hamsters but small for a regular hamster.

Expantionthere are up to four places to expand with tubes the most I have seen on a cage.

AccessThis is very good with a removable top and two doors.

DesignMy hamsters like all of the tubes and platforms. The platform hieghts are adjustable and it is easy to see the pets in the cage. I think the design is very good.

Cleaninglike most modern cages the cleaning is easy the bottom is easilly removed for cleaning.

Additional items

One pound of Keytee forti diet hamster and gerbil food the protien is a min. Of 13.5%

2 large chew treats.

10 oz of soft granule blend small pet bedding. This works great underneath the regular bedding.

Overall you should be very happy with this product. I got it for $42 it was a very good deal.

Having had hamsters growing up, we decided to allow my son to get two. I had many different types of cages from one story to three story cages and have never had any fall or get hurt as I have seen mentioned in reviews on other cages. We decided on this cage and purchased it locally at pet smart. I must say it was very easy to put together (5 minutes), is very sturdy and easy to clean. W have not had any problems with hamsters escaping as it is very well made. We are getting ready to add to it with more tunnels and another cage.
