Hydor 50W Submersible Aquarium Heater - Original Theo

Hydor 50W Submersible Aquarium Heater - Original TheoJust bought the 50W model for my 10G tank. I set it to 79 degrees, and the thermometer agrees to this *exactly*, even on the weak side of the tank away from the filter.

I know that I haven't had it long, but so far, so good.

UPDATE: 2 months in, it still heats well. The ambient temperature in the room has an effect on it, but the temp is staying +/2 degrees from 80. For a $20 heater, I'm satisfied with that.

It is a good heater. I think the temp might be a little off. i have it at the highest setting and the thermometer says 77 degrees, but it is in a very cool room

I ordered this heater because the one I already had was a little too bulky for my 5gal tank. It has been running for several weeks now and the only problem I've had is it runs about 3 degrees F above the setting but it is very consistent with the temp. I like how small this heater is without sacrificing wattage, I like the dial on top that has actual degree settings, I also like that there is an on/off light. I would recommend this heater.

You may have to tweek the temp a little but this works just fine. It's not that long so it does not hit the bottom of my tank and I use a peice of drift wood to hide it.

I've had it for 2 months and it keeps my 5 gallon tank at a consistent temperature.

I had to isolate my betta in a 1-gallon tank to treat fin rot and I'm using the heater in there, too. It's also keeping the water consistently at the right temperature. Temp doesn't necessarily match what the dial says, but if you monitor the water you can adjust it as needed.
