Wavepoint Technology Inc AWV1096 Led Moonlight Strip

I have a 48" T5 WavePoint light fixture that I got about 2 years ago. I love it as it uses less energy then my old Power Compact and my coral seemed to thrive better. What I missed from my old fixture was the moonlights. Well...I happened to be researching about adding LEDs to fixtures and found out that WavePoint made an official add-on to the fixture. At the time of this review there is only one seller that sells it online in Amazon. For my 48" I bought two of them and they look fantastic. The light penetrates easily to the bottom of my 55 gallon tank. You could probably get a 3rd one but honestly 2 fit fine. The LEDs are high quality, and their housing/fixture is as well. Only thing that feels cheap is the clear plastic cover protecting it from the water.

It fits very well over my tank...and one of my concerns was that the filter and Protein Skimmer would get in the way. If I could change one thing, it would be to change the adapters so they daisy chain. Right now I have two huge AC adaptors for each moonlight strip. Kind of silly for something that uses barely 3 watts per strip.

Great light. Two is fine for my 220 gallon saltwater aquarium. Puts off a nice bright light. It does not fit on my light so I have to just set it on top of my acrylic tank which works out fine.
