Started using these a few yrs ago. They are great but they need to be changed out pretty often.

The extra filtration these pads give vs the regular micro filtration filter is awesome. Due to the higher cost of these I use one regular and one super filtration pad.

Have a red eared slider and a bunch of small fish, I use twice as long as package recommends and it still works great.

These are fantastic pre-filters, but due to the excellent filtration, they tend to get gunked up more quickly than other filters. Highly recommended if you keep up with your tank maintenance.
