This little toy is cute and my cat loves playing with it. The little chicken lost one wing (feather) immediately. Otherwise, it seems to be holding up pretty well. My main complaint is that when I searched for "made in USA" this came up in the list and although I looked all over, I could not see anything saying exactly where it was made. Of course, when I received it, it was made China. I would not have purchased it if I had known for sure where it was made.Want Romp! Funny Farms Catnip Cat Toy Discount?
First off, I have to say that this whole line of toys is some of the cutestI have seen in ages! Both the cat and the dog lines will bring a smile to your face!
For this particular toy, the Turkey Trot, it makes you smile right away.
I am a sucker for that crazy eye look on cartoon or toy characters.
(Think Ed from Lion King!)
We thought this would be a sure-fire hit because this is not only a toy on a stick
(what cat doesn't love it when their humans dangle stuff from sticks for them to swat
at?), but it has feather wings. (We have a few other stick-style toys, so this is an
additional one.)
True to form, our feather-holic cat liked this toy for a while, and tried to de-wing it the first night.
Our usual stick-toy fanatic wasn't so impressed. We had to drag the toy across her back a
few times for her to even give it a second look. She finally made a few feeble pokes at it.
Not what I had hoped for!
So, we left it on the floor for them to sniff thoroughly, so they'd know what they were dealing
with we thought maybe it was just that it was not familiar. It's been a few days now, and the
general thoughts are "Eh" from both cats. We can force one to swat at it just by annoying her
to pieces with it, but then she walks away. I am going to try to leave the turkey in some catnip
for a few days and see if that helps. There was no scent at all to the toy, so although it says
there is catnip in it, it is either a miniscule amount or it is just very old.
On the plus side, it looks well-made, and it really does have a "cute" factor for the humans.
