I needed a little more bubble for my 50 gal fish tank. I ordered this pump from Amazon and at first it was amazing! Quiet enough and tons of bubbles. I use the bubbles just to circulate and break the surface because the tank is a tall deep cube with a canister filter.After a few weeks the pump began to make horrible noise. I found that the magnets in the pump part were rubbing. I took it apart and used a rasp and my dremel tool to file down the part which was making the noise. I then added a dab of silicone sewing oil to it and reassembled it. Now it has been running quietly and efficiently for several months. I have no complaints and it was a good price, especially with free 2 day shipping.
