This carbon works very well and is highly activated. It provides sparkling clear water and superior flow rate, much better than cheap mega store charcoal products.

We gave this carbon a try in our aquariums. A friend works at a university and tested the water before and after using Kent carbon. We saw hardly any difference between the before and after tests for organic removal. The professor said that pelletized coconut carbon is not meant to remove the type of pollution found in aquariums. he said pelletized carbon is used mainly for air filtration, not water filtration.
