It looks smaller than 1gal but it really is 1gallon. It is roomy enough for a small filter and heater (which you will need if you don't want the fish to die in a few months) and the head had a convienant place for the cords to go through. Doesn't have a lid to keep the stuffed frog from getting wet but I used aluminum foil with and ceran wrap to fix it.Save 13% Off
