My elderly Rottie loves this bed! It's easy for him to get into and out of and he seems less stiff when he gets up. He had his own human couch up until now. His arthritis was making it difficult for him to get up on and then down from his couch. The bolster acts as arms and back of a couch so it's just like his couch, but easier for him. I only wish they would use different breeds in the pictures for sizing. I could have easily gone with a size smaller and still had enough room for him and his pet kitties to cuddle. I would highly recommend this bed. Especially for big dogs and elderly dogs.

I bought the XLarge pet sofa for my 9 yr old 100lb Lab. He loves it!!! Couldn't even get it completely out of box because he was climbing on!!! I wanted a good orthopedic mattress for his joints and I got it!!! The Xlarge is huge!!!! It's as long as my dresser in my bed room. He has plenty of room to roll around and change positions, plus room for me to cuddle! :-) the mattress is firm but soft, seems like it will hold up really well. I bought two & used the idea of a sheet to protect them. The large is as wide as a twin bottom fitted & it works great to protect them so you don't have to take the cover off you just pull the sheet off & was it.I have two Greyhounds & they are 50-55 lbs & the large is plenty big for them, one each, of course.
We got the brown/chocolate color & the material is great!

Best price for this sofa, did a lot of searching for this. Ordered one of these a few years ago and my dog just loves it.
