this leash is designed for a cat...it is 1/2" wide and thin would be best suited for a cats or micro dogs...dont think it should pop up as match to collar that is sold with it that is 1" wide and for large dog...a weiner dog could blow through this one....

I may have misread the description. This leash is only about 1/2 or 3/4" wide. The reflective surface is only on one side of the leash. I have a 65lb lab. Don't really trust it. I think it would be just fine for a small dog.
