Ok, just to set something straight, aquarium hoods ARE NOT measured by how many gallons the tank holds. Many reviewers are confusing this fact. Aquarium hoods are and always have been measured in inches. Just because it says 20 in the product description does NOT mean this will fit on a 20 gallon tank. It does however imply that the hood WILL fit on a tank that is 20" long. As all aquarium enthusiasts know, all 10, 20, 40, 55, etc etc tanks are not created equal. There are 20 gallon standard tanks, and then there are 20 gallon tall tanks, and of course the 20 gallon long tanks. This is true of pretty much all tanks where there are standard, tall, and long versions. I wont even get into the other variations such as bow-front and hex tanks, my point being is that yes the description of the product says 20, however 99.99% of the time that number will always refer to the length of the hood in inches and not the amount of gallons the tank holds.

As another reviewer mentioned the hood is 19.5" long, which means it will fit a standard 20" x 10" framed tank perfectly.

This is much better than the plastic one my aquarium came with. It is lightweight, easy to clean, I have not noticed any water evaporation ever since I installed this, and I can customize the back where the filters, etc., are stored using only a scissor. I definitely recommend this for anyone to use.

The product arrived a day early and was protected well. It does require a very minimal amount of assembly, but well worth the money. It fits my ten gallon tank and keeps the humidity elevated consistently (almost too well). Additionally, there is a plastic sheath that is the back 1/4 of the cover. This allows airflow and humidity regulation. Moreover, the lid folds over in the middle allowing easy access. Here's a breakdown:

Pros: sturdy glass, heavy enough to keep hermit crabs in, allows air circulation, folding lid, keeps humidity high

Cons: may keep humidity too high (I prop up the cover with a stick sometimes), only fits standard 10gallon tank.
