Using this for my koi pond via a 12V battery & solar panels. I left it outside all winter long (under a waterproof container) with 2 air stones and tubes going into the center of the pond. It has not failed a single day and kept the pond from freezing the entire winter.

Not it's main purpose but if it can withstand the freezing outdoor temperatures and constantly being turned on and off via a timer (every 15 minutes!) for months on end... It will work without any issue for a boat live well!

(I live in MA and we got several big storms hitting as high as 3 ft of snow at one time, still no issues keeping the pond from freezing, very strong bubbles!)
