I'm giving this a 4-star rating because the product needs finishing. If set up right out of the box the little needle wheels inside will seize up and quite spinning. One must dismantle the unit and file down all plastic extrusion remnants on the inside tube (that the impellers ride) as well as smooth out the inside surfaces of the center hole on both impellers. Doing so will keep this unit from binding up and coming to a stop, ever.

This little reactor works great once the above issues are taken care of. Mixes well and since it is semi clear, one can peer in and see how efficient your co2 is being disolved. This helps in fine tuning the bubble rate for any one tank.

I run my Mix Max in-line directly after my Rapids mini canister which runs (apparently) at 80gph, which is probably more like 65-70gph. At this flow rate I get very few bubbles that make it out of the reactir and into the main tank.

Love this product! Perfect for nano tanks.

I use this in conjunction with a ph controller on my 75 gallon planted aquarium. With my ph at 6.5 my bottle has lasted for ever. Believe the hype and spend lots of money or just get the best for cheap. It is a little noisy but I have it in an open cabinet.

I'm using two of these on two different tanks and have no problems with either of them. I've heard some people complain that they are noisy, but mine aren't. It will make some noise if it's not full of water like it is supposed to be, but if you disconnect the co2 tubing for a second it will top itself off.
