I use these filters for my new born guppy fry 1 gallon tanks. They don't keep the tanks clean for long so I have to change the water out and/or suck the excess excrement and uneaten food product out on a regular basis. I like them because they help oxygenated my fry tanks and are inexpensive. When the fry are sizable enough I relocated the ones I decide to keep into my bigger tanks with charcoal filters. They work great for my use. I purchased some on Amazon and a few at different local pet stores. I prefer to order from Amazon.
