Fluval U4 Underwater Filter Poly/Carbon

This product, along with the actual filter, are great products. I have two turtles that can make quite a mess, but this filter cleans the water extremely well.

I use the U4 along with Fluval's hangon tank filter in a 55g for water turtles. They together keep the tank ok and cheaper right now than the FX I want. But this is short term solution and they filters are at opposite ends of tank to push together dirty water.

SO while this works, I wouldn't recommend others do it if they can afford the FX series for water turtles. This is best for fish, and haven't had any problems with my feeder fish getting into this filter.

*Change out only one side(there are 2) at a time to keep the good biological bacteria.

Replacement for old poly/carbon pads that lasted a couple years. I have had the fluvall filter in my turtle tank for several years and this is the first replacement of this item, would highly recommend.

I have the U4 system in a 46 gallon cichlid tank. It is the most convenient filter ever. These refills go in the top of the filter as easy as open the lid, pull out the old, put in the new, done! Awesome!
