this stuff is worthless . I tryed some in my aquarium thinking I was getting a deal , NOT ! See it just is useless . does not do what carbon should do. In fact most carbon when you rince it will make a crackling sound . This did nothing and my water turned fowl . Had to run down to the local pet store and buy more carbon . Avoid this stuff like the plage

One other note , on the label is says "made in china" cheep for a reason !

I saw this product here on Amazon and was initially skeptical on how good it would actually be, but I am happy to report that it works just as good as the name brand products in my Fluval 306. There was no excessive carbon powder, the carbon was uniform in size and absorbed water just like the expensive brands. I will definitely buy this product again!
