little to no instruction, difficult to mount. Its a power strip with 3 live and 3 "wave maker" type timers. If you use it with cheap powerheads I guess you will be fine. I used it with 2 maxi jets and one hydor 550. The maxi's stood up to the hard start/stop but the koralia must need a more conditioned current. I now have the hydor pump controller with 2 hydor 750's and 1 550. I only used this for a month.

This wavemaker does just as it says, switches upto 3 powerheads on/off from 20 seconds to 3 minutes. It does have a problem with hard starts, makes the powerhead rattle slightly but nothing to bad. I recommend this for anyone who doesn't want to spend a ton of money for a wavemaker.

TOM Stellar Air Pump S-30 - 30gal to 40gal tank

This S-30 Tom Stellar Air Pump operated quite nicely, and appeared to be doing it's job rather well. However, this thing is loud! Sounds like a compressor, which of course, it is.

I went with the S-20 model, and it's like night and day in the noise department. Same build quality as the S-30 with rubber feet and all.

AquaClear Impeller Assembly for Power Filter

The impeller in an aquarium filter does a remarkable job of moving thousands of gallons of water each day. The fact that they can operate for several years before needing to be replaced is a testament to their overall construction.

The Aquaclear series of filters utilize a magnetic impeller assembly with the plastic fan attached to the top of the unit.

The Aquaclear 20, 30, 50 and 70 all use the same electric motor and magnetic impeller assembly, the only difference being that the fan attachment for each subsequent filter is slightly larger than its smaller sibling, thus

allowing the next size up Aquaclear to pass a greater number of gallons of water per hour.

However, with the impeller blade from an Aquaclear 30, installed in an Aquaclear 70, you get the advantage of far greater filter area than the 30, which leads to less frequent cleanings, and you won't have to worry about your fish having to fight the current of the Aquaclear 70's larger impeller fan.

Later on, should you decide to move up to a larger sized aquarium, you can then install the impeller that your Aquaclear 70 came with.

This flexiblity is just one of the advantages that four of the Aquaclear filters (20, 30, 50 & 70) offer, since they utilize the same electric motor; the only difference being the size of the plastic fans which come attached to the magnetic impellers.

This impeller was bought to uprate the water flow on my Fluval Edge and it didn't disappoint. It approximately doubles the amount of waterflow pushed though the filter. This is such a simple modification (swap the impeller) that it really is a cost efficient, no brainer. My Edge is a saltwater aquarium and houses quite a few corals. This modification really helps with the fitration that I need. The only problem would be that I had to purchase it from the US (couldn't find a seller in the UK) which turned out to be O.K in the end because it came well packaged and much quicker than I anticipated. API Aquarium Salt, 16-Ounce

I have very hard water in my area, so this works great to condition the water. Just make sure you don't use too much.

I have a number of five gallon freshwater tanks but of course they can use about a tablespoon of salt per tank. Have used to cure fin rot. My "technique" is to fill a five gallon jug with tap water. Add one tablespoon of the salt and whatever else I need to put in there (stress coat, algae drops, etc.) let it stand overnight at least. I siphon out a bit of water from each tank and replace with the water from the jug as needed. This eliminates problem with having the salts dissolve and from my experience is just a good practice if you are dealing with tap water.

In my case when used for fin rot I did daily water changes of about 1/3 the tank. Having it pre-mixed keeps the consistency you need for each change and that definitely helps the fish.

The aquarium salt is good. I usually get the bigger one since i have a 55g tank. It works good,fish look healthy. Haven't lost a fish in months,maybe this is the reason.

Only complaint would be if you have plecos/bottom feeders make sure they dont eat this. They will die. I put the salt in my fish net and let it dissolve in the net.

I purchased this item for my son's snake enclosure. We had seen the same item at our local pet shop for $36.95 and I was not willing to spend that kind of money on this item. I was so happy to find this when I got home and for much less than the store. My son has a baby California King snake who needed a hide/shed helper/ climbing apparatus. TOM Stellar Air Pump S-20 - 20gal to 30gal tank

So far I've been very pleased with this pump. I've had it for about a week now. After reading complaints about the Tetra Whisper pumps dieing prematurely I decided to give this one a try. Only time will tell, but the construction seems solid. And, the price at least when I bought it was very reasonable and eligible for prime shipping.

All air pumps make noise, but the volume from this seems plenty reasonable. I hid mine in a wicker basket under my tank and that seems to almost completely mask any noise. This pump did not come with any other accessories like a t fitting to split the air into multiple hoses, or a check valve to make sure water doesn't back flow into the pump. I already had these so it wasn't an issue for me.

Many people don't know but the rubber diaphragms eventually always wear out in any air pump. So, we will see how long these last, they do list the part number on the packaging for replacing them when they wear out. But, I suspect with shipping that they will cost as much as a new pump since the pump is so inexpensive and eligible for prime shipping.

My goal is to get at least a year of use out of this pump before the diaphragms need replacing. In my mind that's a reasonable amount of time for a pump in this price range. If it dies before a year is out I'll come back and update this post, if there are no updates then it means my pump lasted at least a year!

For an inexpensive air pump this one does a good job. It is fairly quiet, though I have had better. Puts out plenty of air through my 2" bubble disk.

I was looking for a replacment to my Tetra Whisper (Tetra 77851 Whisper Air Pump, 10-Gallon) reading a review that this product (TOM Stellar Air Pump S-20 20gal) is the most quiet among the many the reviewer has experienced. By far, this pump vibrated on top of my tank despite putting a damper under its feet. The sound is just too annoying. I then tried a Rena (Rena 702A Model 50 Air Pump by Mars but they're both so noisy I went back to ordering the Tetra Whisper. For the time and effort to return these 2 items, it was better for me to throw them out to garbage.

Red Sea Reef Foundation Test Kit - Calcium, Alkalinity & Magnesium

First off very fast shipping. This is a very good product, this kit has 3 different test with 3 different syringes. The tips of the syringes are color coded and the only mention of the different colors are on the cards when you look at the illustrations, and even then you better have good eyes to see them. And the markings on the syringes are different, so if you use the wrong one, your results will be off. Over all a nice kit, much better packaged and quality than Salifert which I use to use.

I have tried several other manufacturer's kits and I have found this one to be the easiest and best to use.

Before this I was using a Salifert Kit and was getting results that were often hard to read. If you do these tests properly and keep adding the titration drops until you get a full color change that will not change any further then you will get accurate results.

I really like the handheld titration unit which makes it much easier to accurately does single drops will mixing.

Comes with a nice hard case as well as ultra clear glass vials. I really believe it's the best kit out there for the money.

I give it 4 stars because it's well made, has a powerful catnip aroma and i'm sure other cats would love it, because of the metal spring like wire that bounces around. But my 10 year old cat wasn't too interested by it (or the catnip), no matter how much i've tried. I think the metal wire that sometimes makes noise every time it touches a hard surface (like furniture or the hardwood floor) scares her a little bit.

Anyway, i knew it was a high chance that she might not like it, as many other commercial toys i bought for her didn't sparked her interest. Only aluminium foil balls and threads make her happy.

ps: if i would be the manufacturer, i would replace the plastic green mouse with something made from leather or something similar that the cat can grab with its claws.

Our multi cat household is our biggest critic and they say, "Bring it on!" They love the Cat Dancer. We have several going at once for them and they love to leap up to try to catch it. Who would think that such a simple toy would bring so much excitement!

I did buy the Cat Dancer with the plastic cat nipped mouse on one end, and the cats paid no attention to it. Also, it was heavy and threw the whole toy off balance. A cloth mouse would have been a better choice. Great service.

My cat goes crazy for the cardboard end to the point that he seems unable to control himself when playing with it. He was actually so wrapped up in his play that he bit my finger hard when I tried to get it away from him to keep the play active obviously my fault, but he isn't like that with any other toys (even the much-loved Da Bird). He isn't really interested in the catnip cat, although sometimes when I keep the cardboard end hidden he'll bat at it or kick it. As far as I'm concerned, it's a glorified handle that makes my hands smell slightly like catnip.

I'm giving this 4 stars the price is higher because of the catnip mouse, which is the least desirable feature (at least for my cat). Get a cat dancer for your cat, but be careful if your cat seems totally crazed by it. On the plus side, it seems fairly durable and is cheaper than many less exciting cat toys.

Lee's 2-Inch Wooden Air Diffuser, 2-Pack

This shipper (accidentally?) included a cheap plastic bag that the chinese manufacturer must have originally put these in. It is all Chinese except for saying "AquaValue" at the top and there is a diagram of how to use these in an aquarium that is labelled in chinese. The diffuers are now sealed in a nice blister pack in all-english. Why they included the weird all-chinese bag with this is beyond me.

Anyway, they work wonderfully. I'm using them to create small bubbles to diffuse CO2 in a planted tank. They make much finer bubbles than my air stones that I was using previously and my CO2 concentration has improved. I can't comment on how well these would work in a protein skimmer. I always used an injection-powered Aqua-C skimmer so I wouldn't have to mess with replacement parts like this all the time. The main downside to these is that wood floats duh. I hadn't really considered this and these don't come with any suction cups to hold them down, so unless you have suction cups for your air hoses already, you're going to have to buy them or hook the hose under an ornament or rock. I realize that this is the case with all bubblers since they're filled with air, but these are REALLY buoyant.

Theses air diffusers supply abundant micro air bubbles that create the foam inside my protein skimmer. Long lasting, however they need to be kept on continuously, if shut off for awhile then the bubbles will be large but will become micro again after running enough hours.

I bought three of these lights to replace an LED that came with my Marineland Half Moon 20 aquarium. The LED did not supply nearly enough light for freshwater plants to grow or probably even maintain life. As soon as a I hooked these attractive looking little lights up, I started to notice immediate results in my plants health. They cast a very attractive light and the moonlight LEDS look very impressive at night. My plants and I are very happy and satisfied with these great little lights.

This lamp seems to be designed reasonably well for use with a refugium as I'm using it. The strong point and the weak are the same thing; its the bulb. The bulb has one of the best light output ranges on the market that I could find for my saltwater refugium. It's a little weak in intensity for me so I'm using two lamps. The bad part is that these bulbs have a questionable life span. I've replace two of these bulbs so far, one lasted about a week and the other burnt-out as soon as I turned it on the first time. I'm still running these lights in my system and the replacement bulbs have been working for about two months so far. I'm hoping I just had a bit of bad luck with the first two bulbs.

I should note that when the bulb burnt-out, I made a claim for a damaged item and the seller gave me no problem with a replacement.

The thing is real pretty, it has little floral engravings on it and it's a very pretty color... I give it that, but that's about all I can give it.

There were, first of all, no directions included. It says sorta vaguely, on the little piece of cardboard the bottle is attached to, that you can use EITHER the wire or the spring mechanism to hold it on to the cage. It doesn't really say how this is done or anything, and it doesn't include any sort of useful image either. I tried using both latches separately but the bottle just seemed to be hanging precariously on the cage and was generally just really unstable. I ended up using the spring to hold the bottle from underneath and the wire to hold it to the cage. It worked for about two days before my >1lb conure unlatched it and it fell to the ground and the bottle shattered. I mean, that was sort of the point of my buying a plastic bottle, so I wouldn't have to worry about it shattering if it did fall. Waste of money. Also, the thing leaks, a lot. Even the tiny cheapo plastic Lixit bottles were better than this thing.

I ended up buying the nicer glass Lixit bottle that have much more stable latching mechanisms that my little guy couldn't hope to undo in his wildest parrot dreams. Sigh, but it was so pretty...
