Zoo Med Spirulina 20 Flake Fish Food
Unlike so many imports from China Zoo Med foods are free of filler, sub par ingredients and what is most important free of Ethoxyquin. Ethoxyquin is a toxic pesticide often touted as a preservative It's long been banned from dog and cat foods however due to poor regulation lower end foods continue to use it.
Studies have proven that Ethoxyquin even in trace amounts is especially lethal to fish. Studies that support this can be confirmed by simply looking ethoxyquin up on Wikipedia and follow the links to the findings.
Regarding Spirulina 20 this is an outstanding, naturally color enhancing food. Packed with protein at 45% this food is perfect for fish ranging from African Cichlids to Fancy Ornamental Goldfish both of which I keep in a never ending accumulation of fish tanks.
Spirulina is a plant based plankton often referred to as "the perfect food" it's packed with protein, vitamins A1, B1,B2,B6,B12 and vitamins C and E. In addition Spirulina is rich in eight essential fatty amino acids it's a wonderfully healthy food.
The flakes are huge which makes feeding a breeze I have a huge Red Devil Cichlid who goes crazy when he sees the jar. My Ornamental goldfish and other Cichlids are equally crazy for it.
Perfect for salt, fresh and brackish water fish Spirulina 20 is an absolutely wonderful food which will enhance both the color and health of most any fish you keep.Spiriulina is great to keep certain fish healthy and all of fish eats this diet which is great for their health. I mix it with blood worms, regular diet, brine shrimps.

I've been doing freshwater and saltwater tank for almost 7 years and I've been using this product for about 2 years. I didn't realize how good this product was until I started using it. I love this product because my fish seems to be doing great and they would go crazy every time I feed them this food.Just like what it says on the container, it promotes good health and brings out the color of the fish really well. Plus it's high in protein so that's a plus.
I recommend this product to all aquatic hobbyist. Price is reasonable and excellent food for the fishes.

Bought this for my freshwater guppies, and they love this food!! They see the big blue can and come to the surface to be fed. My inverts love it as well.Want Zoo Med Spirulina 20 Flake Fish Food Discount?
This video shows two of my red freshwater ramshorn snails gobbling down a large Spirulina 20 flake. They're on the surface floating on their backs.
Of all the various aquarium foods I've tried, these are by far to me the best flakes of all. All my fish like them, and they're like catnip to the inverts. The practical side of this is that if you feed these flakes to your fish and some of the flakes reach the bottom where the fish can't find them or don't feed, your inverts (if you have any) should quickly eat up the extra. No waste!
These are especially helpful for my baby ramshorn snails and my pond (pouch) snails. The pond snails are technically an infestation that I didn't ask for, but they're so cool to watch (and impossible to eradicate) that I decided to keep them around.
I've just gotten to the bottom of the four ounce can I ordered...er...when? I suppose if I can't remember when I ordered it I should by a new supply. The funny thing is that it has taken at least six months to use up the four ounce can even after giving half to someone who raises and breeds snails. A few ounces of these flakes go a long way.

Danner 02501 35 GPH Mini Statuary Pond Pump
Great and excellent price. Works all day every day with no failThe pump has a few design flaws which cause it to not operate properly. The control for water flow is located where the hose attaches thus it easily detaches from the top of the pump . The rubber suction cups do not work and the pump easily separates. I needed to place a rubber band around the pump to hold it together.

baby biOrb 4-Gallon Moonlight Aquarium with Light Fixture
Pretty low maintenance with 25% water changes weekly and fully changes one a month it almost looks after itself its so easy. You can probably reuse the filters if you clean them and add new media.
I added a heater, skipped the biorb stones for petshop cheaper ones, I decided on real plants, a betta, some red cherry shrimp, adding a top to the bubbler and a valve which means my betta has no problems with the current & his long fins (he is a halfmoon and currently flaring right next to the air vent the cheeky minx!).
One note for anyone buying this. Buy a valve for your pump or you may find the water siphons back into it when you switch it off $2.00 well spent!

Both packaging and website description are misleading. The photos don't show the air tubing and power cord which are unsightly and make it very difficult to place in your home. The external tubing and air pump unit are supposed to be placed higher than the water level! Also, the supplied media is unattractive and is the only media (gravel) they recommend using (it's brown). I definitely expected a better product for the money it cost. I sent my baby biOrb back..and really wouldn't recommend this product.Read Best Reviews of baby biOrb 4-Gallon Moonlight Aquarium with Light Fixture Here
I transferred my betta into this tank after about a year in a much smaller (and cheaper) filtered tank and I am so happy I decided to get it. There isn't much light in my apartment so the moonlight feature stays on all the time, which is fine; but it looks especially beautiful at night. I decided not to buy biorb decorations or rocks just because I already had some and honestly they were a bit pricey for my taste anyways. This tank is also a bit expensive, but it's totally worth it. It not only looks great, but it is very functional. The filter works great and cleaning is easy. I've had the tank for about a month now and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking to buy. I would definitely buy from Biorb again in the future.Want baby biOrb 4-Gallon Moonlight Aquarium with Light Fixture Discount?
I've been very happy with this tank but the moonlight feature was a waste. Because I keep it pretty far away from windows, the regular daylight wasn't enough to trigger the switch from moonlight to daylight. I had to keep a lamp on to keep the tank light on, which is pretty silly. There is an option for manual on/off but then you give up the moonlight... either both lights are on, or neither. If you get enough light in the room, this could work for you. But the directions caution against keeping it in direct sunlight because the curve of the tank could cause a fire.Tuesday, March 18, 2014
Fish & Aquatic Supplies Parallel 2.5 Gallon Designer Glass Aquarium - Black
PROS: Very Nice Look,Very Small Would Fit On A Desk, It Is Glass,Easy To Clean
CONS:It Is Kind Of Heavy But A Good Sign,I Only Saw A Red,It Had A Dent In The Metal,It Had A Small Chip In The Top Of The Glass.
Keep in mind I didn't buy the tank directly from seller or maker so anything mentioned in cons could be from poor handling on wal-marts part but I did get mine for 10 dollars less.

10lbs of Aquascaping Seiryu Stone Rock Aquarium Tropical Fish Plant Shrimp Driftwood
- Natural, unique Look, many crevices and different textures
- Good for decoration and use on a planted tank
- The most popular stone that people use for aquascaping
- Iwagumi layout
- 10 LBS
In all the pictures shown seiryu stones look much darker than the pieces i got. This is one of the reason why i order them because i have black substrate. The pieces i got mostly are light colored more like yellowish and some even have white in it. But over all it was nowhere close to grey/dark grey shown in pictures. I had to use them because i was setting up my aquarium. Ended up using only 3 pieces and went with driftwood.

We are located in Colombia, south america, where this filter is hard to find. The filter is little to medium size, but in 48 hours makes your water so clear that the fish look like flying on air...We use it to clean our tanks, it does a great cleaning job, this filter is ready to use, it comes with activated carbon, hoses, etc... all you need is a little hose cutting (to match tank hight), and plug the power cord...
The filter has been working for over a month now... absolutly NO problem! Weve changed the normal cartridge to the "Polishing" one... just amazing!... We breed discus and sometimes betta fish, having 7 discus in a 250 lt tank and the water quality raise so much that one new pair started spawning after polishing the water. the other tanks we own where passed thru the filter with excelllent results!, clear "new looking" water pronto.
Clean water = Healthy and happy fish
The only messy thing ive noticed is in the moment you want to open the filter for mainteinence and you where using the activated carbon recipient... well that recipient ant the filter`s top (where you connect the hoses) unite strongly... so when you open the filter, you have to be carefull because with the filter's top comes the recipient's top and you can spill some carbon...
tough its easy to clean and we find it very practical.

"Ok, here is the l-o-n-g and short of it...bare with me and all your worries will be allayed ~ this canister filter is a miracle IF you take the time to inventory your parts, get to know the equipment included and TAKE YOUR TIME in the initial set up!!!Background ~ we have a 75 gallon goldfish only tank (yup, the dirty little critters). But this tank is our family's pride and joy. We have two $30 goldfish in here a tri-color Ranchu and a Metallic Veil Tail Fancy along w/ a Chocolate Moor, a Black/White Telescope, an all White Fancy and an all Gold Fan Tail.
Step 1 inventory ALL your equipment. This took me almost 2 hours but I wanted to make sure everything was in the box that was supposed to be. Cross referenced with what the part did in/on the filter. Found one small broken piece but realized it would not alter set up.
Step 2 FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS WORD FOR WORD and DIAGRAM FOR DIAGRAM. Do not rush through this! I cannot stress this enough. It took my daughter and I about 3 hours to fully set this bad boy up. Due to some of the other reviews, we really made sure to follow along so as to not make errors.
Step 3 Perform regular maintenance. We do a 10% water change weekly and a 40% water change plus filter clean monthly (i.e. foam slip clean/replacement, carbon/ammonia media replacement, tube clean).
Side note ~ please, please, please follow the starting of the pump word for word. You have to get all the air out of the canister or it WILL BE AUDIBLE. After you have gotten most of the air out, there will, undoubtedly, be a little bit of air left. Just let it run and by the next day, it will be gone. This has been our experience every time we have had to turn it off and open it up. This is no biggie! Remember, this IS a filter with water running through it...it is NOT going to be totally silent! It sounds like a filter. I find the sound of running water soothing, but that is just me. I have this in my living room where we "live" and the sound does not affect my working from home in that room, us watching TV or sitting at the dining room table eating dinner (it is literally within 5 feet of the table). It does have a mind of its own and some days are quieter than others (cannot quite explain this) but it never is so loud as to be distracting and some days we have to check if it is even running.
Our tank has never been cleaner. Even my husband now enjoys watching the fish. The tank literally looks like there is no water in it except for the bubblers and a power head providing aeration for our fishy friends.
Another side note ~ I personally think the "water polishing cartridge" is a waste. We did try to change out the carbon/ammonia media and put it in but, honestly, did not make a difference. This DOES run louder as the filter does not fill the canister up fully so more room for water to rush around it. If you truly want a polisher, then I suggest the smaller Marineland HOT Magnum Hang On the Tank Canister as a supplement. But I don't see the point.
My amateur advice is always have a filter that is twice the recommended gallons required and your tank will be cleaner, regular maintenance will be lessened, your fish will be happier, and the joy of owning an aquarium will be increased!
I am going to buy a second one for my 46 gallon Euro Tank.
I HIGHLY recommend this filter and my fish do too! Just make sure you do your part and maintain it!!! >(*o*)< (fish face)"

I've had this filter installed on a 55-gallon aquarium for over 13 years, without a day of difficulty. It was a bit of effort to set up, but not what I would consider unreasonable. I took the time to install the quick-connects entirely worth it come cleaning day. It takes about 10 minutes to clean this filter, and I do it maybe 6 times per year. I don't have any trouble keeping the lid on the media container as long as the sponge sleeve is replaced, and it is put in the canister before filling with water. I have replaced the seals and gaskets once at minimal cost. The sponge sleeve is inexpensive to replace and lasts years if handled with care. I also have 2 bio-wheels on a separate pump and course sponge prefilters on all intakes. My aquarium is heavily planted (need to thin regularly) with a medium to low population of medium to large fish. I also have a 10+year-old HOT Magnum on a smaller tank, and it too performs extremely well. I have never used another filter for this aquarium, because I have never needed to.Thursday, December 19, 2013
Finnex FugeRay Aquarium LED Light Plus Moonlights, 30-Inch
The option to turn on/off the blue and white LEDs separately is great. I only use the white ones during the day and sometimes I turn on the blue ones at night. They are both connected to the same plugin though, so you can't use different timers for the two LED types, which is not a big deal for me but might be important to other users.
Overall I am really satisfied with this light. It is bright enough for my purposes, energy efficient and comes at a fair price.

I wanted to replace my T5 NO light with an LED. After reading reviews of this product, I purchased it via amazon. Unfortunately, the light did not work at all. I requested a replacement and it came promptly. The light is everything I want. Nice and bright. Just the right amount of par for my 20 long (maybe a bit too much). Easy to attach to the aquarium frame although I did have to remove the glass top. I would be concerned about 'jumpers' but no one has escaped yet. I would buy this again. It is a bit pricey. Even with the first not working and having to return, the product itself if a five star for me.Read Best Reviews of Finnex FugeRay Aquarium LED Light Plus Moonlights, 30-Inch Here
Great buy, terrific light...I bought two to illuminate my 110 gallon freshwater tank. Spending more money on a "fancier" light would be foolish.Want Finnex FugeRay Aquarium LED Light Plus Moonlights, 30-Inch Discount?
While not perfect, I think these lights are a great value. Assuming you are putting this over a 29 gallon tall or a 20 gallon long, you will see average to good plant growth (with better growth from the shorter tank, of course). As a pure fish light, its colors are nice.Frankly, you won't find an LED with these PAR values at this price outside of DIY.

Well, I decided I was going to install a small valve to regulate the flow down and hopefully get this thing adjusted correctly. As I was about to start cutting the hose to allow for my valve to fit in I realized there was a slide tab on the end of the pump. It was marked with a "+" and a "-" symbol. Sliding the tab opens and closes a small gate in the pump which regulated the amount of water the pump pulls which in turn regulates the flow. After a few tries, I closed the tab 3 clicks from full open and now it flows perfectly!!! It's amazingly quiet and no water leaves the falls area except to return to the reservoir.
OK, after I got that situated, I figured I better perfect this thing by getting the feeding dish to align properly. In order to do that, I trimmed the 2 large tabs off of the bottom of it with a pair of tile snips (I'm sure a pair of wire cutters would work just as well). Then I lightly sanded the area that I trimmed just to remove any sharp edges. Now it fits like it should and it sits even instead of being cocked up at an angle. Not sure why the tabs are there because they really hinder it from installing properly.
All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. The instructions really should have been better then what is printed on the box, especially when it comes to adjusting the pump.Don't be fooled by the design when comparing it to the small Exo-Terra waterfall. I bought this product around 2 weeks ago for my hermit crab tank. I chose this particular waterfall for the design instead of the Exo-Terra waterfall. I was very, VERY excited about receiving this and couldn't wait to set it up. This past 2 weeks have been a complete disaster concerning this waterfall. I absolutely HATE it! Despite going by the exact directions, it still leaked water and had be refilled multiple times a day which saturated the substrate. I usually ended up having to unplug it due to the leakage. I've done every possible thing to stop the water from leaking, but it still fails miserably. Usually within 15-20 minutes, the water is too low for the pump to work. There is no obvious water fill line and the ridge inside the reservoir that seems to be the fill line is much too low for the pump to work properly.
I assumed that the waterfall would be one complete piece, but instead it comes in 3 pieces. The actual design of the waterfall and reservoir is horrible. The waterfall itself doesn't even sit level on the reservoir and it in't clear how its supposed to fit. Also, the food dish doesn't fit properly at all. My large hermit crab can easily displace it and dump the food out. I've had to go as far as using a hot glue gun and securing the waterfall to the base, which I thought would fix the leakage of water. Also, due to the poor design, I had to use the hot glue gun to fill in low areas in the bottom pool which was leaking in multiple places. I've literally lost count of how many times I've had to remove it and attempt to fix the problem and that is NO exaggeration! At least the Exo-Terra waterfall is more practical by being in one whole piece.

This waterfall is nice the water sounds are great and the look and size of it is perfect but, The pump is to big and powerful for the base that holds the water. All the water that I put in the base was being pushed out so fast buy the pump it was leaking from the base and the sides of the waterfall. Also the base is to shallow for the pump so when the water leaked out the pump started makeing loud noises. The water leaked at a very fast rate which ended up soaking the subsrate completely, but the problem is very easily fixed my husband went to home depot and bought a plastic plant pot liner for 77 cents and put the waterfall on top of the liner instead of the base. The liner works because it is a lot deeper than the base of the waterfall so you dont have to fill the liner to the top so the pump doesnt throw any of the water out and the liner is deep enough for the pump itself. I myself ignored the other reviews on this but it really does leak water believe me! But for 77 extra cents the problem is easily corrected!Read Best Reviews of Conceptual Creations SCC01182 Watertfall Small Animal Dish, Tropical Here
it has to be set up just right or it will leak and drain all the water out into your tank. be very careful because we woke up more than one night with it running dry because the water had ran out into the tank. once it is set up just perfect it works pretty good.Want Conceptual Creations SCC01182 Watertfall Small Animal Dish, Tropical Discount?

Aqueon Medium Siphon Vacuum Aquarium Gravel Cleaner

I purchased this vacuum to help clean the bottom of a 45 gallon fresh water tank. I was leary at first since it was the first siphon vacuum I'd purchased, but was very pleased with the results immediately!I place a 5 gallon bucket on the floor, place the end of the hose into the bucket and secure it with the clip provided. I then place the vacuum in the tank, shake it up and down quickly to start the suction, and then take it to the bottom of the tank. It takes me about 10 minutes from start to finish! If you work quickly, it takes out approximately 25% of the water in the tank. Perfect solution for a clean tank and a water change!
You must work quickly once the vacuum starts or you could easily end up removing more water, but makes cleaning and water changes quick and easy!

I have a 20 gallon fish tank. Cleaning the tank and changing the water took too much time before I used the 9-inch Aqueon Siphon. Learning the rhythm to get the siphon vacuum suction started can seem difficult at first. However, it is easy to start when the vacuum is completely submerged in the water and the end of the hose is a significant distance below your tank. Worked best for me when my bucket and end of the hose were at least three feet below the siphon within the fish tank. The hose is 6-feet long.Want Aqueon Medium Siphon Vacuum Aquarium Gravel Cleaner Discount?
I thought this might have been too small for my tank at first but I used it once already and absolutely LOVE IT! I have a 50 gallon tank with sand and this little siphon really sucked up all the crud. I have a tank full of mystery snails and livebearers and didn't have any issues with it sucking up fry. It is easy to use and works wonderful. Highly recommend!
