I bought the large bed for our 48lb Basset Hound. It's a good fit for her, but I think next time I'll go with the extra large bed since she likes to stretch out once in a while. We had to help her get in it a couple of times, but now she's figured it out. Our Basset is a spoiled girl with four beds to chose from around the house, but now she only uses this bed. Also, she sleeps all night in this bed and doesn't try anymore to jump into our bed. I would highly recommend this bed for a Basset Hound, but get the extra large.

Don't let the size-name description fool you; a LARGE bed of this type will not fit a LARGE dog. I ordered a "large" bed, and my 2 dogs are each just a little over 60 pounds (medium-large) but neither one of them could fit into the "cave" part of the bed. It's expensive to return, and so unfortunately I will not be trying the extra-large size for fear that it will also incur the extra cost of returning. Just pay very close attention to the measurements of the bed; you may want to get the next size up from what the description may make you believe. ( For example, I doubt that it's possible for a really large 80-100 pound dog, such as a big male Lab, Rotty or similar, to be comfortably accommodated by even the X-Large size Cozy Cave, unless your dog enjoys a very tight fit.)

OTHERWISE, I will say that the bed is of very high quality. If your dog can fit, it really is an extremely nice bed; very plump and cozy, indeed.

I ordered this for my 6 months old Beagle puppy... This is the THIRD bed i order for him, the others are in the garbage because he would chew them, drag them around, shred them to pieces. NOT SO with this one! At first he didn't know what to do with it, so i snuck little treats all the way in... He went in looking for the treats with his hound nose and once he was in he couldn't resist lying down...and since then it has been pure bliss. There are only a few products on the market that both filter tap water and moisturize for betta fish. I've been using this now for three weeks and the tear marks on my betta are closing and you can see new skin beginning to generate. I can't imagine being without this product.

Update: My fish tried to make a break for it and jumped into the sink. He got a bit torn up during the retrieval process. I was really upset at the way he looked when I got him back into his bowl. FYI, I clean the water every week. After two weeks his tears were repaired. Now, after using this for two months he looks like a new fish. This stuff is truly amazing. I can't say enough great things about this product.

I could tell my betta was much happier once I started using this. I was using a sample of Zoo Med's water conditioner that came with his fish tank, and it didn't seem to be doing much. I switched to this once it came, and he started blowing bubble nests once I started putting it in the water!

However, it is a very small bottle, and goes fast, and if you keep buying new ones at $7 a bottle...it adds up. I have no complaints whatsoever about the product itself! I love it! But I switched to API stress coat conditioner, just because it's cheaper, comes in bigger bottles, and I use far less of it per gallon (1/2 mL of API per gallon vs. 5 mL of Aqueon per gallon.)

This is a good product. However, I have Amazon Prime so it was automatically sent to me via 2-day shipping which obviously involved air travel. When it arrived, the package was dripping fluid, as the top had burst due to the air pressure inside the plane and all the contents had leaked out. I returned the empty bottle and asked for a replacement, hoping it was just a fluke that all the liquid leaked out the first time. The replacement package arrived 2 days later with TWO bottles of the product, each one having leaked about half its fluid. I combined what was left into one bottle and was happy. But really Amazon, just ship it via UPS Ground next time.

When I first got my male betta, he had some pretty bad fin rot and was missing most of his lovely fins. The product was delivered quickly and packed well. Though it was not what I expected. The Jar is made of plastic. The original Jar was made of glass. The description is very vague.

I purchased a Vortex plastic replacement jar when my 33 year old Vortex D-1 mason jar cracked while I was tighting the Vortex motor assembly to the jar.

The plastic jar is cheaply made and can be cracked easily, so take great care when tightening the Vortex D-1 jar cap to the top of this jar.

Having the base is nice since it keeps the jar from falling over, like the glass Mason jar that came with my Vortex D-1 used to do from time to time.

As is the case with all Vortex products, it pays to shop around, since there can be significant differences in price for these items depending on where you purchase them.

Moreover, I have found quite a disparity in the price of this plastic jar. I purchased mine about two years for around $12. I have seen this jar retailing for as high as $35, so shop around before you buy one.

It's a cheaply made product that does its job no more, no less.

Fluval 3/404-3/405 Impeller Cover for Straight Fan Blades

It's a shame that the Fluval 404 is such an awesome filter.... I keep replacing these stupid impeller covers because the clips keep snapping and don't hold the impeller in place, causing a loss in water pressure and a horrible clicking noise...

But the Fluval is so good that I keep buying these things by the dozen, and swapping them out when they break...

It's definitely a design flaw. I have 3 of these on my 150g tank, and each one has had this part break several times in it's lifespan... Same break, same spot. Every time... The pressure becomes too great on the impeller, the clip weakens, and SNAP! the clip breaks...

It's becoming harder and harder to find these pieces, and i'm terrified that i'm going to end up replacing my 404's when I can no longer find this part... That will be a sad day...

Took me awhile to figure out what was wrong with my tank but when I did this worked great. Fixed my problem.

Like the filter and hate there cheap made parts. All plastic parts are cheap and break easy. Keep one extra as you have to clean the propeller when you service the filter causing the tabs to break when removed.

I will start off by saying that I am not hard to please and never really write a review if a product does half of what they will say it will do.... these pumps are cheap and that's what I expected (cheap pumps).

I have a wave controller that turns on pump on while turning the other pump off. These pumps left alone would probably be fine, but they vibrate like crazy when being turned on, I thought I could deal with this until I woke up the next morning and both pumps were shaking so bad it looked like an epileptic seizure. I proceeded to turn the pumps off and give them one more chance (because I loved the price_), but I must say "these pumps are slated for a quick return".

Dont waste you money. Not only is the SUPER LOUD, will drive you crazy but the adapters that go on the end, that allow you to change the direction fall off. No matter how hard you push them on ( of course the simple thing would be to screw on ) they get shot across the tank.

Top portion of the bubble counter is not hermetically sealed to the bottom cylinder. Had to use Teflon tape to seal the top brass piece to the plastic cylinder. Then it worked fine.

I bought this for our small outdoor fish pond. I don't know the exact size or volume, but it's about 3' x 4'. Our previous pump/filter had given out partly because it was too powerful for a tiny pond. This seems to be just right. It makes a nice little fountain & filters the water really well. (We used the fountain nozzle from our other pump/filter because we wanted a more traditional tiered fountain, but this kit includes the basic bubble and waterbell type water pattern.) We had clear water again after just one day. It has been a little over a month since we installed, and no problems. It's easy to clean, and at this price is such a great value.

UPDATE: It has now been a year and this pump is still working great. We kept it running all winter without the fountain part attached and it provided enough movement that our little pond didn't freeze solid and it kept our comets happy and healthy during this unbelievable winter! Now that it's warm out, it continues to keep the water crystal clear, doesn't clog over-easily and is easy to clean. I have not had the problem that others spoke of with the tab of the cover breaking off, but I also don't just try and rip it off. Very satisfied with this product! SECOND UPDATE: It has now been almost 2 years (and a very rough winter in the northeast!) and this pump is still working beautifully! My fish survived the winter as this kept the water moving even in the deep freezes we had. Great product!

The pump works quite well and does create a nice spherical pattern. The head is adjustable so you can make different patterns. For example, it can also shoot jets out perpendicular to the head. There are no instructions for how to change the pattern and it's definitely not obvious, but you just have to rotate the very top of the head. The filter is very large and easy to access for cleaning.

I've tried to use solar-powered pumps and filters in my pond, but they're not powerful enough and tend to get clogged easily and break quickly. This is a much more powerful and sturdy pump with a far larger filter, so it should do the job much better. Definitely a good pump for the price.

This product was a replacement for my exsisting Eclipse 3 aquarium hood as the ballist had burned out in the original hood. I envisioned this product coming with all pieces... basically a complete replacement of the whole hood for $20 (the whole aquarium kit cost me $60 brand new). What I recieved for 33% of the cost of a whole new aquarium was the hood with no access door and no plastic light cover. Luckily I still had the old hood and was able to salvage these parts. If I had not, the door was an additonal $2.00 and the lamp cover was an additional $6.00. The qulaity of the product was good and the reseller (Big Al's) had a decent discount, so it was alot better than buying direct from Marineland. I just wanted to point out that this products details leads you to believe you are buying a complete hood, when in actuallity you are buying a mostly complete hood. To defend the reseller, Marineland does not note that additional parts may be necessary.

I am so glad I read other review prior to buying this lamp. I bought it because the original top would not light. The problem was not the bulb, probably the baffle (?) or whatever they call the part that makes the light start. So I ordered this and it's great EXCEPT you need to save a) top black cover part which hinges up and lets you get to the filter b) lightbulb none come with it c) lightbulb cover and screw. Also not included. Luckily I had the original still here at the house.

This is a well made screen that provides good ventilation. I would have appreciated them mentioning that clips are not included. I got it only to realize that I needed to order clips seperately (and pay more). If you're ordering this for a pet rodent, you know they're escape artists. I bought this screen for my corn snake because the screen I was using before was plastic and melted from my heat lamp. I had read great things about zilla screens and they are all true!

The screen is very sturdy and fits over the tank almost perfectly, there is a 1/4" gap on one side meaning I either mis-measured my tank, or the screen is actually 20-1/4" but this does not remove the functionality.

There are clips that are made to fit this screen, I have never personally used these clips, but it seems that you would need at least 6-8 to keep the screen completely secure and avoid a snake escape, which would cost more than the screen did! So, I went to the dollar tree, bought 2 packs of velcro, and stuck it on all sides of the tank. Using all of my strength, I couldn't get the screen lifted up without undoing the velcro so I am really confident that my little corn will not escape!

Overall, this is your best option to securing a loose-lid tank, and will guarantee your scaley friend will not escape if set up properly.
