I use this pop-up tent for agility trials. It is easy, roomy, and the quality is great. No wasted space on the sides, as it has plenty of height. Folding is not problem! Just like a folding umbrella. And the bag is so spacious, there is no worry that the tent will fit after you have folded it. Every time I take this to a trial, other handlers approach me for info about this tent. I am sure that I will see more very soon....I love it!..Oh, and my dog does too.

I've owned several tents made like this but this is the best by far. Strong material, easy to operate. I do wish it came with it's own mat, however.

I bought the medium tent for my dog who is about 30 pounds. She started chewing just about...everything in the house so I looked into getting a crate but they all seemed so small and I wanted something with a little more room and that I could easily take with me when I travel. This 'pup tent' is great! There is plenty of room for her dog bed, food and water bowl plus some toys. I thought she would chew through it at first but it's very durable. I love that I can just fold it up and take it to a friends place that might not want dogs inside their home and keep her in this. I was worried about making such a pricey purchase on something I wasn't sure about but it was worth every penny!

We saw this crate a few years back and fell in love with the design. It's super light weight and the setup takes only seconds.

We purchased two of these for our dogs. The mechanical design of the pop of feature is done very well. Solid, durable and has a place to secure the cords to prevent the tent from an accidental collapse.

We travel with our dogs and this has made carrying their crates into hotels so much more manageable. The crate comes with a bag that has a shoulder strap.

Our dogs love these, since they can now sit up all the way in their crate. Of course, if your dog isn't a fan of a crate or is a chewer, this might not be the right one for them.

We bought the large size for each of our 50 lbs labs. Plenty of room to stretch out and have a bowl of water in the crate with them.

Our dogs sleep in their crates and one is a gentle giant, he's only 60 pounds but he's tall (medium Labradoodle). I felt bad putting them to bed at night watching him walk in with his head down and then clumsily turn around so that he could lay down. His last crate was 42x26 and probably 26 inches tall. Aqueon Mini Bow 5 Desktop Aquarium Kit

I bought mine at a local pet store about a month ago. I think it's great for what it is. A 5-gallon tank limits what species you can keep, but there's still some nice options. I would definitely do a little research before buying, because lot of popular fish require a 10-gallon tank, at least.

In mine, I've got 4 zebra danios and 2 African dwarf frogs. All seem to be quite happy and healthy. I divided the space up with rocks, driftwood and plants. It looks really nice, while giving the frogs places to hide and burrow, and the fish a lot to explore.

The filter isn't very powerful, but from what I understand, you don't want anything too strong for the species that do best in small tanks (dwarf frogs, bettas, etc.).

To maintain, I just replace 2 gallons of water once each week, and rinse out the filter. I don't understand the complaints here about not being able to find replacement filters--I just ordered a set of 3 from Amazon for about $5. They do get gunky pretty fast, so I plan on replacing them monthly.

Somebody else mentioned that the light bulb burnt out in less than a month. Mine's still going, but I only keep it on for about 12 hours a day. When it does burn out I'll probably replace it with a compact florescent anyway. Less heat than an incandescent, brighter colors, and longer life.

I did have to buy a $15 heater, but that's species dependent. For the most part, I think this is a great starter kit. I got it for my son's room. He likes looking at the fish and frogs, and it's pretty easy for me to maintain, so I'm happy with it.

I bought this tank to be used as a segregation tank for my new or ill fish.

I have a 45 gallon tank that houses freshwater fish. When I buy new fish, I like to segregate them and treat them automatically for illness before I put them in with my other fish. I have learned the hard way, that it is much easier to do this than treat my large tank and all the fish when just one is ill.

It has everything I wanted, (filter, light, and small size), except I did want a heater as well. (Better for treating ill fish. Truthfully, I don't know any kits that actually include the heater...) I had a small heater left over from a previous tank and use that. Otherwise, I would have bought one that actually fits the Mini Bow. It's size makes it very easy to clean. I don't keep my fish in there long term, but for my purposes...it is GREAT!

It is a perfect starter tank for kids, too. They can try the whole fish thing without overcommitting to a bigger tank that an adult would HAVE to clean for safety sake.

THE FILTERS CAN BE ORDERED on . My local fish store and our petsmart also only carry the medium and larger filters. My local store is trying to supply the small ones, but for now, I am fine ordering them online.

I have 2 of these tanks a 5gal and 2gal. I have had these tanks for YEARS. They have not been running for the 5 years I have had them but I have used them for betta fish, plants, breeding shrimp, raising Fry, and hospital tank. It's been my back up tank. Right now I have it set up for breeding Bee shrimp. I have since switched the filter and added a heater. I love the light hood never had a problem. I use a 13watt CF light and it works great and the plants love it.

So my main problem with this tank is quality. It's not a quality acrylic tank. The bow front distorts viewing. It's hard to clean off alge because you don't want to scratch the plastic. Also the small bow shape makes it a bit tricky to clean with a magnet cleaner. I put an old sock on my hand and used that to clean it. I like the size of this tank but I am looking for another tank it's time to replace it.

Nice for the price don't expect much it scratches real easy. Great little starter tank for betta fish or kids room I have been keeping fish for 13 years I have 5 tanks up and running ranging in 100gal 5gal.

Submersible Heaters

I wish I could give this product a worse score than 1 star. Purchased this heater from Wal-mart in a pinch because the heater that came with the aquarium broke (was a very cheap one) and I didn't want the temperature to drop since it was winter. Kept an eye on the thing for the first few weeks of having it and everything seemed to be ok. This week the dumb thing short circuited because it got water inside somehow and continually heated the tank. I discovered this when I got home from work. I noticed unusual behavior in a frog I had in the aquarium. On further inspection my other frog was already dead on the bottom of the tank and the water was almost 100 degrees F. The frog that was still alive was just floating in the current from the filter and had a bad fungal infection that had sprouted up overnight. Removed him to a treatment tank and did what we could but the poor guy didn't make it. This is a horrible product. I would not recommend this to anyone and I wish I hadn't bought the product because I lost 2 very dear pets.

I have purchased 3 of these Tetra Heaters in the past 5 months, and all of them have quit. The warranty only allows you to pay shipping both ways, either to fix yours, or they will send another one. I do not want any more of these Tetra heaters, and am looking for another brand. I wouldn't waist your money.

I bought this heater (from WalMart)last week for my 5 gallon tank. When I first put it in the tank the red light came on. After maybe a minute or so the light turned off. I wondered whether or not it was heating the water...

After a couple days I moved the heater to my 10 gallon tank. The light did not come on, even after unplugging and replugging it. It's been in this tank for about three days, and the light hasn't come on. The temperature has actually dropped a few degrees since being in this tank. I will be returning it to the store as soon as possible.

My son has a 2.5 gallon tank divided for three beta fish. We purchased this ship to fit a piece in each end and hooked them up with air tubes. They are cute. The fit is tight but I measured before I ordered and it fits...barely. I was able to hook up the air and after getting the tilt just so, able to get the bubbles just like I wanted. One drawback that had nothing to do with limited space...too light! The one end I had to bury in the rocks to get it to stay down and needless to say, every time the tank gets cleaned, it is floating, and mama has to get in there and get it back down. The other end would not stay down at all, so I hunted through the house for something nontoxic that would fit in there and weight it down and came up with a small onyx elephant I put in first followed by an onyx turtle I picked up years ago when I was in to buying onyx critters every time I went somewhere. Actually, it kind a looks like a sea turtle hiding in the ship and you don't see the elephant at all. So, it is cute, it works, but be prepared to take a deep breath before you patiently struggle to get the tube and the ship properly weighted, positioned, etc. so it doesn't keep popping up...and then redoing it every time you clean the tank.

The thermometer works great and its in Celcius and Farenheight connected by a nylon string to find it easily. I would have given it 5 stars had the glass window that protects the mercury glass behind it wasn't broken on delivery... it works fine without the protective cover and as its used for fish without abuse worry that the mercury tube would break decided to just use it as I was in a pinch to maintain proper temperatures. Other than that, it is a good product.

Bought this for my dad to measure water temperature in the Boundary Waters...works great. He ties it up to the side of our canoe and lets it bob while we fish. Smalllightweightand very effective.

Why oh why do local fish stores not carry these? The pump action to start the siphon is far, far superior to the vacuums that require you to move the entire nozzle, which is inexplicably so popular. I use this gravel siphon to clean the sand in my 40 G mixed reef tank. I mostly use it to clean up the waste that mexican turbo snails leave behind. The siphon has a pump where the hose is attached to get the whole thing started. I though this was good, but a lot of time the suction would simply not work and I would still have to use my mouth. Also, the siphon has a filter where the siphon is attached to the hose to prevent most of the sand from getting sucked out. Problem with this is that it also prevents the poop and other large waste to get sucked out as well. Eventually this filter gets clogged and has to be cleaned out every 30 seconds or so otherwise you lose suction.

I still rated this 4 stars because when the filter is not clogged the suction is very strong and most of the sand stays in the tank. It is not perfect, but the best siphon I've used.

I was terribly disappointed in this. Not as it appears online. I put it in back of the tank and my tank is crystal clear.....could not even make out the blue color. Not worth the money. Plus there was a crease down the middle. I had to send it back for a refund. I ended up buying a boulder scene at my local pet supply store for five dollars.

Sometimes it's hard to see things as they really are online. I would not recommend this product .

Coralife 05692 Pure-Flo II 50-Gallon Per Day 4 Stage RO/DI System

I have this RO filter and it works great. It should be noted that the picture (which has actually since been updated) showed, and the description mentions (still does), a pump which this unit DOES NOT have. Amazon, as always, was outstanding in their customer service when I called to advise of the lack of pump as described/pictured. They actually sent me a new one (actually OVERNIGHTED it to me!) and said "if new one still doesn't meet your expectations, we'll issue a refund". I LOVE Amazon!!! The new one arrived (which I promptly returned unopened) also with no pump. Further investigation revealed that Aqueon does make a model with a pump but the one for sale on Amazon is NOT that model. The one with the pump regularly sells at various web sites for $250 and up while this model (76002 I believe?) also regularly sells at various web sites for anywhere from $10-$80 more than what Amazon sells it for. Since the pump-less model is working fine for my needs and due to the fact that the $135 price at Amazon was still way better than I was going to get it for anywhere else, I opted to keep the original. So in summary:

RO filter is awesome.

Amazon is awesome.

This unit does not have a pump but works as advertised (get a gallon of 100% pure as in measured TDS of 0 water in about 30 minutes).

I have been using this product for 3 weeks. So far, I've made about 100 gallons of RO/DI water for my marine aquarium, and my only regret is not purchasing an DR/DI filter years ago. I just hook it up to my kitchen sink faucet. There was no need for crazy plumbing projects. I am a little bit concerned about the longevity of the filtering system. The initial batch came out at about 8 parts-per-million total-dissolved solids (ppm TDS), but I'm already up to 15 ppm. However, this is still a pretty low TDS, and I might even be contaminating it just by measuring or something, so I'm not too concerned yet. I do have a couple tips that might make your choice-of-purchase or set-up easier.

1) Unless you plan on installing some kind holding tank and auto-shut off, this filter takes time. Remember, 50 gallons per day is only about 2 gallons per hour. If you don't think you have the patience for that, consider upgrading to a higher GPD.

2) I read some reviews of RO filters that costumers were unhappy because the filtered water was acidic and/or made metal parts rust very quickly. This is not a flaw in the filter this means it's working. RO/DI water has much less dissolved materials than most tap water. Without getting into the chemistry, this means that (1) when the water come to equilibration with the carbon dioxide in the air, it will be acidic, and (2) it will tend to oxidize (rust) metals that it comes in contact with.I use my filtered water to make home-made soda and ice cubes, but I think drinking the RO water straight is pretty gross it just tastes awful to me. I've also heard it can be unhealthy, but I don't have much info on that.

3) This filter works under rather high pressure, so there is a good chance that connections will leak. When you are assembling it, I recommend getting some teflon thread tape from the plumbing section of your hardware store. Wrap the tape tightly 2-3 times around the threads before fitting the connections to tighten everything up an prevent leaks.

4) I had trouble installing the RO cartridge. The cartridge housing is not see-through, so I couldn't tell if I was installing it correctly or not. I could not tell if it was assembled correctly until I had it completely assembled to test it. But you should be able to tell if it is working by the amount of water it is producing; when working correctly, you should be producing clean water at only a trickle (~50 GPD). If you set up the filter and are getting a high flow from the product [blue] tube, you can probably assume the RO cartridge is not installed correctly. (Also, you can check the TDS if you have a meter.) It took me about four tries to get the RO cartridge installed correctly. The thing was, it needed to be pushed very hard into the fitting. The resistance was so high that I was afraid to break it.

5) Many of the fitting on the unit come pre-assembled. A couple of connections on my unit initially leaked just a bit. You may need to unscrew them, wrap some teflon tape around the threads and reinstall. After I took the time to do that, my unit was 100% leak-free.

6) The unit comes with an adapter that should allow you to use it with a standard sink, but installing the adapter takes a few minutes or more, and is kind of a hassle. Also, the adapter is a pretty cheap plastic, so it's prone to leaking and liable to get chewed up if you're not careful installing it every time. I alleviated this issue my permanently replacing the head of my sink faucet with one that I can directly screw the filter on to; this only cost about $3. I did not have to replace the whole faucet, but the very end has outside threads like a garden-hose connection. This has made connecting and disconnecting the filter much more convenient.

Also, be aware that if you have a decorative sink faucet, the adapter might not work. You might have to be creative in installation. I live in an apartment, so I can't do any really involved plumbing projects; however, if I were in a house, I think it would be worth the effort to set the filter up with a holding tank and float valve, so that I there is always an available supply of filtered water.

7) I also purchased TDS meter (HM Digital TDS-EZ Water Quality TDS Tester), and was glad that I did. It is very convenient to be able to test and see how your unit is working. My tap water comes out around 500 ppm. My filtered water has been coming out between 5 and 15 ppm. Since I can check the TDS any time I want, it will be much easier to figure out when my filter needs to be back-washed or replaced.

I received my RO/RI system yesterday. In assembling it for use, I noticed the DI cartridge was broken into pieces probably from shipping. I called the numbers on the "Imporant Please do not return this product to place of purchase". The 800 number is a scam number trying to sell a $100 rebate for $1.99. The other is disconnected.

This is very disappointing. I guess I will be sending this back to Amazon and looking for another manufacturer for an RO system.

Well I've been running this unit for about 6 months now. I've probably made about 700 gallons of water. I have to say, it's a bit concerning of how long it takes to reach sub 10ppm now. I would love to have 0ppm but this unit hasn't done that since the first week of operation. I'm doing good if I can get it down to 6 after about an hour of operation.

I bought this filter to replace the filter that came with my Fluval Chi. The first part of the review will be for the filter I ordered off Amazon and the second review will be for the filter that it was supposed to replace.

The replacement filter:

When the filter arrived it made a rattling sound when I took it out of the box like something inside was broken. When I plugged the filter in the water pump didn't work making the unit useless. It was returned.

The original filter:

After only having my Fluval Chi for two moths the tab on the filter door that keeps the filter media inside broke off. This caused the filter door to sometimes fall open when it was in tank and also open every time I pulled the filter out of the tank to clean it. This let all of the fish waste that has been trapped by the filter to go back into the tank. Soon after the tab on the filer door broke the light on the top of the fountain stopped working. Then the light switch that controls the light for the tank broke off....

All in all I was very disappointed with the quality of this filter (I'm starting to feel that way about all Fluval products). Fluval is usually considered a superior brand in the fish keeping hobby but this product did not live up to the Fluval reputation. I would not recommend purchasing this filter.

My tank's cube fell apart and I didn't want to have to purchase the entire set up. This new cube works great and saved me enough to buy extra filters, too.

I am pleased with the ease and speed of the amazon service. However, the product itself seems to be of less quality than the original filter/light cube I had.

Issues with original: the light switch broke and the light was stuck on which causes to much stress for the fish and the algae was growing like crazy.

Issues with replacement: the box does not sit perfectly horizontal (it tilts forward) so that the water does not flow over all edges evenly and the strength of the pump is not as good and thus the water is unable to flow up into the rock basket and create a waterfall at that level.

If I was that handy/skilled I would take the good components of both cubes into one so it worked as it should.

Jardin Pine Design Aquarium Fish Tank Plastic Plant Ornament

I really do enjoy the look of this item. There is one issue however, it floats. It is very difficult to get this to stick in substrate, and with fish bumping into it and such, I was constantly putting my arm in the tank to put this back down. I did finally decide to take it out of the tank, which is a shame, because it did look very neat.

It was a little bigger than I thought...using it in a 5 gallon aquarium. However, it is still perfect and looks amazing. Would be ideal for any aquarium larger than 5 gallon.

This tree is not worth the cost. Its small. Like one gallon fish bowl small, and it floats! What type of aquarium plant floats. I had to glue stones to it, to get it to sink.

This is a well made screen that provides good ventilation. I would have appreciated them mentioning that clips are not included. I got it only to realize that I needed to order clips seperately (and pay more). If you're ordering this for a pet rodent, you know they're escape artists. I would have given it 5 stars had the clips been included. It wouldn't have cost the seller much more and would make for happier customers.

Heavy duty, well made. They handle the heat from heat lamps well, and look nice on the tanks. Good ventilation.

I bought this screen for my corn snake because the screen I was using before was plastic and melted from my heat lamp. I had read great things about zilla screens and they are all true!

The screen is very sturdy and fits over the tank almost perfectly, there is a 1/4" gap on one side meaning I either mis-measured my tank, or the screen is actually 20-1/4" but this does not remove the functionality.

There are clips that are made to fit this screen, I have never personally used these clips, but it seems that you would need at least 6-8 to keep the screen completely secure and avoid a snake escape, which would cost more than the screen did! So, I went to the dollar tree, bought 2 packs of velcro, and stuck it on all sides of the tank. Using all of my strength, I couldn't get the screen lifted up without undoing the velcro so I am really confident that my little corn will not escape!

Overall, this is your best option to securing a loose-lid tank, and will guarantee your scaley friend will not escape if set up properly.

Excellent moonlight. This thing is so bright (at 24 watts) that I needed to install a potentiameter to dim it because my fish thought it was still daylight. I'm using it on a 100 gallon acrylic tank with African cichlids. I even faced it up facing the top of my canopy and it was still too bright. I've tried lots of moonlights and this is the best for the price.
