Do not be fooled by price. I got what I paid for. It lasted about 9 months and most of that time was the summer and it was hardly on. Now that its colder the thermostat would only come on if I turned the knob all the way up to the highest setting and even then it would kick off. The water is maintaining 65 degrees. I bought two of these at the same time so put in the new one and that is working but will probably get less than a year out of that one as well.

As the other reviewer said the lifetime warranty is useless. I paid $9 for the heater and they want $10 to send it back. I am basically just buying another heater from them.

I will stick with a visi-therm or aqueon as I have those running in my other tanks with no problems.

I purchased this heater for my brand new 10 gallon aquarium from my local fish store. He began selling these after Visi-therm and their stealth heaters began to not hold up. His selling feature was the price and the life-time guarantee.

Upon first introducing it to the tank, it appeared to work, but I did not have a thermometer yet, so there was no way to tell. I left it at the initial setting of 76 degrees to cycle the tank. The tank glass felt warm, so I assume it was working. After 1-1/2 weeks, I bought a digital thermometer (the same as the one in my community tank). The tank was only 73 degrees. I checked the new thermometer against the old one and they measured the same temperature within a few 1/10's of a degree.

After turning the unit up continuously throughout the evening, I could heat the 10 gallon tank no higher than 75 degrees. This heater definitely did not work.

The guarantee, if you want to call it that, is almost worthless. You must send a copy of your receipt and $10 to the manufacturer, who will then send you another unit. That's more than 1/2 the original cost. More like buying one for retail, and then getting a lifetime supply at wholesale cost.

All I want is a heater that is reliable I'm not concerned about guarantees. Guarantees don't heat the tank reliable heaters do. This heater has left me in a lurch.

I have this heater in my 55 gallon tank, and it keeps the water at 80 degrees consistently. However, the heater is set at 89 degrees (close to the supposed maximum). So, it works perfectly if you ignore the gauge, and use an independent thermometer.

Bought this heater because my fishes got ich and had to do a treatment for them, I thought I made a bad choice based on the price I paid but it really worked well for me. The temperature was accurate and it was durable enough until my Pacus got bigger, they would swim by it and smash it into the glass and it wouldn't break. They got the upper hand evevtually, I saw pieces of glass at the bottom of the tank and I wasn't surprised at all. Overall it was a great heater and I'm planning on buying another one soon.

I bought this for my 29 gallon tank because the very small heater I had was barely keeping up with the cold temperatures of winter. Our tank is in our kitchen in front of a window and generally stays colder in the area. This heater has worked perfectly for the month+ that we have had it. We bought my son two fancy mice a few months ago. We bought a pretty basic cage from the pet store for about $20-25 and an extra "igloo" house for them to snuggle under. Overall we spent about $25-30 for this basic setup and ever since then we've dealt with the constant vacuuming from bedding being thrown out. Not any more! Don't settle for a cheaper cage! Do it right the first time.

This was a fantastic purchase. I should have bought this from the beginning. The wheel does NOT squeak like the one we had. Bedding cannot be tossed out. There is a cute "cellar" for them to snuggle under to help protect them from drafts. The wheel can be easily blocked off with the pets inside for easy cleaning without having to catch your critters. This is another perk if you have tiny kids. You can block off the external wheel while you are not around to supervise your kids....Handy if you have a kid that might have the urge to give them a spin.

Don't try and save a few dollars on a cheaper wire version. They are much harder to clean, draftier, and litter will be everywhere within two feet of the cage. Get it right the first time. I would highly recommend this cage!!! Highly!!!!

The cage I had before was a nightmare. I then bought the most expensive one at the store thinking that i'd be happy with it. And of course after putting the thing together for 40 minutes, the last piece wouldnt work/fit and so I thought I was stuck with the cage I was using at the time. Her "waste" doesnt come flying out the sides as my other wheel on other cage did. The water bottle is perfect and doesnt leak and I'm so glad I didnt give up my search.

We have a cat that tried to get the mouse. When we were outside, he crashed the entire princess habitat to the floor from a low table. It broke open, but there is a special floor that created a basement like living areathat save Mousie's life!

Squeaky Dudes Hang Loose Rubber Dog Toy

This is my dog's very favorite toy. He's a super destructive chewer that LOVES anything squeaky. I cannot give him any kind of plush/fabric toys period as they're gone in a few minutes. I've never found another toy that he hasn't immediately ripped the squeaker right out of besides the squeaky dude. Granted, he immediately removes the two hands upon receiving it but after that he continues to play with it. The squeaker sort of started to fall in on the first one he had after months and months of use so he's on his second one now. I just cut the hands off of the second one before I even gave it to him so I didn't have to worry about him swallowing pieces. You can't beat the price for how long it lasts.

It's a little big for my dog's mouth. I tied it to a circular pole and she loves to chase after it as it circles around.

Ok, there are very few dog toys that are truly indestructable.

That being said, I do keep one eye on my dog when she is playing with them.

She chewed the thumb off the hand when my other eye was busy. LOL

The thumb did come out in her POOP ! So I can not give a thumbs UP, LOL,

I am better off buying her New balls than a ball with hands . The squeaker

has not come out or been an issue. She does not really want to retrieve with

this toy, just prefers to chew on it because of the small hands on the sides.

After several attempts of tring to grow several live banaba plants in my aquarium, I decided to try planting an artificial one. I saw this on amazon. com, and decided to give it a try. It is made out of silk, and once placed in my aquarium, it looks just like a real plant. Since is it make out of silk, the leaves sway in the currents, and my fish like to swim among the leaves. It is also a good size at 10 inches.

My old net finally had the net fall off the handle and it can no longer be shoved back on. This has a much better design and looks like it will last a long time. Also, the hanging loop makes for very easy storage. The shape also allows for "trapping" a medium to large goldfish (medium to small koi) in a certain spot while still allowing it a bit of freedom.

This is by far the best fish net I have ever bought! The handle and the extendable shaft are very, very sturdy. I can easily reach the bottom of my pond to remove the leaves without the shaft bending. This makes me very happy. The plastic guard at the top of the frame is another reason I love this net. My old nets were easily torn and ripped when the net was loaded with leaves or fish or water from the pond because the net was unable to sustain the weight. I definitely recommend this net to anyone who has a fish pond. It is a must have!

Prime shipment was quite impressive, got it less than 24 hrs after I ordered.

The net and its handle are made of good quality material. In my case, I only have small pond (300 gallon Rubbermaid tank) so the extension of the handle is somewhat a mute point for me. But I did test it and it worked fine. The net has been sewn together quite well and there is no ridges that may hurt the fish. I actually used the net to transfer my 7 X 12 in KOIs from old tank to the new one. Boy oh boy, they were not happy being lifted off the tank and they twisted and twirled a lot. But so far, there were no scratch marks on them at all.

I now use this same net to remove the leaves and pine cones that happened to fall in to my pond. It works pretty well. The small loop of string at the end of the handle is handy to hang it near by. The one thing that I am not quite used to it is that the net frame is not firmly lock to the handle. I mean it can still rotate around the handle. May be it has been designed to be like that.

Its fairly easy to cut, if you have the proper tools. I used scissors, so it took me a little while, but it got the job done!

Sicce Voyager 3 Power Stream Pump, 1200gph

I ordered two of these on the same day from Amazon (decided later in the day to order the second pump). First one arrived, I unboxed it and installed it. I ordered the Voyager 3, and that is indeed what is marked on the box, and what the label on the pump says. However, I was quite disappointed in the output. It was definitely NOT 1200GPH.

Then, the next day, the second pump arrived. It too was labeled "Voyager 3" on the box and the pump, but the magnet was definitely much LARGER and the water flow output was SIGNIFICANTLY higher, definitely the 1200gph it is rated for. Obviously this other pump was mislabled by the manufacturer. I am returning the incorrect pump to Amazon for replacement, hopefully the replacement isn't botched up also.

I will say this, they are VERY quite on the Red Sea wavemaker. You only hear the humm of them running, which is very quiet. No click/clack on startup.

So far these have been marvelous pumps, extremely quiet. They are really big for their flow rate, but that's forgivable. Magnets are strong, flow is very WIDE as it should be, and is by FAR the quietest pump I've ever, EVER seen on a wavemaker.

I bought two Voyager 3's to use with a Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper Lite's wavemaker function. Originally, I had Hydor Koralia pumps which would make an annoying click on startup. The SV3's mounting system has a much greater range of flexibility than the Hydor. It's perfectly quiet on startup, and moves the water well.

I purchased a "FilStar XP3 Canister Power Filter" 2007 and I love it so much I bought another one! I have had a chance to see what these "BIO-CHEM STARS" really do for aquarium water balance! The colonies of beneficial bacteria are so robust in these BCSTARs that I was able to get a new 29 gal tank setup (using the 2yr old Filter's dirty media) through the normal clear-cloudy-clear water balancing phase (without water treatments) in just 5 days (normally it takes me 2 weeks!)! At first I was not sure of what filter media products to use with it because it is so versatile and there were so many choices (so I bought a few each and experimented). The FilStar system really does provide filter media for whatever water conditions you will encounter in you area!

One of the prettiest artificial plants I have ever bought. It has a graceful bend in the water, very similar to the photo. Very full and lushious looking. The base is tan and heavy so holds this large plant in place. At a generous 24 in tall, it looks great in my 75gal tank. The leaf color is light green which look really nice against a blue or black backdrop.

I have found that i like plastic better than silk while silk plants look nice to start with, they start to get discolored and start to fray after about 5 mths. Living plants are more work and take time to get this big. So I'm sticking with easy inexpensive artificial plants.

The moment I saw these on Chiasso, I had to have them. But I didn't want to spend $100's on them. This was a perfect purchase! I would NOT recommend using them as fish bowls unless you can clean them out daily. They have no filtration and start to look not so awesome after a few days of fish eating and business-doing! Maybe plants or other non-living decor!

As for putting a beta in this i would never. Betas DO NOT like to be in such small spaces. I don't know why everyone thinks this. Beats like large, shallow tanks. I own a beta and i gave her a 5 gallon tank all to herself and she swims around like no ones business. If you purchase this for a beat after reading this than you are a cruel person. This is much to small for any living thing (other than a small plant)

This size is WAY to small for a betta! A betta needs at the minimum of 2.5 gal and does best in 5 gallons +. Also, betta JUMP! Without a cover for the opening at the top, you will find your betta on the floor quickly. You will need to do a water exchange on this tank every two days, or the poor water quality will harm your fishie friend.

DO NOT follow these instructions on cleaning! When you clean you CANNOT USE SOAP! You will kill your fish! No matter how well you rinse, there will always be a residue of soap left on the walls.

I have kept betta fish for over 5 years and breed them. Please follow my advice!

I do see how this could be used for other living things, such as plants. It could be a neat project for children watching root systems grow.

Cascade® Canister Filter Pumps for Fresh & Saltwater Aquariums - UL Listed

I have a cascade 700 canister in my 40 gallon heavily planted tank and it's a truly wonderful filter. It was easy to set up. It's powerful (all of my plants wave in the currents created by the spray bar and the fish seem to enjoy playing in it). My water is crystal clear and I love that I can put whatever media I want into the filter baskets. Best of all, the filter is really easy to clean: disconnect the hoses, carry the filter to the sink, replace the filter floss, reconnect the hoses, and plug it back in.

Last week one of my shut-off valves started dripping. I e-mailed Penn Plax to ask them where I could buy a new one and they replied to my e-mail within about 2 hours asking for my address and apologizing for the inconvenience. Today a large brown delivery truck arrived with a pair of new filters. I'm overjoyed. This is an awesome company.

I have kept tropical fish for over 30 years. I have tried a lot of equipment over those years, from cheap to expensive. When it comes to filters I have tried cannisters by Eheim, Fluval, Marineland and Penn-Plax. In my opinion, this filter is the best choice. In fact, it is replacing a much praised Eheim 2217. Go on any aquarium forum and you will read a lot of debate about what filter is the best. In the end, Eheim earns the highest praise. Especially the Eheim 22XX series. I bought into the hype and purchased an Eheim 2217 for my 75 gallon aquarium. The Eheim while quiet (silent quiet) quickly lost its ability to create water flow (this is where the Eheim fanatics will talk about "pressure" and "no by-pass" making the Eheim special). The water in my 75 gallon aquarium soon became unacceptable. I decided to look for a supplemental canister filter to support the Eheim 2217 and stumbled upon the Cascade 700.

I thought this filter would simply provide filtering support to the Eheim, but within a week of placing the Cascade in the aquarium, the Eheim's impeller began making noise and the water flow stopped completely. I removed the Eheim determined to repair it, but... the Cascade 700 does a great job keeping the 75 gallon aquarium in tip top shape all by itself! Yes, it is noiser than the Eheim (not nearly enough to be disturbing it's just that Eheim is silent and this filter is barely audible), but it works and it works well. My aquarium has been running solely on the Cascade 700 for 3 months now and it looks fantastic.

If you want to impress the people on tropical fish forums, purchase an Eheim. If you want a reasonably priced filter that out performs the Eheim line in every way, this is the way to go.

I've been using a Penn Plax Cascade 500 for a year in my bowfront 29 gal tank. It's inaudible, a cinch to clean, and it does a great job of filtering the water. And it doesn't leak. I advised my son to get the same filter for his turtle tank but he got a Fluval 105 instead, and it's been nothing but problems. You're supposed to grease the o-ring with special Fluval grease every time you take it apart, and even then it continues to leak. In the end, it's easier to replace the o-ring every time you clean the filter, which is a joke. We're going to trash the Fluval and get another Penn Plax Cascade 500.

This machine is easy to put together, thought the instructions seem a bit overwhelming at first. It had done a great job with my 40 gallon tank and I am using it with for my Turtle and has been very capable at cleaning the water of a usually very messy animal. It is nice and quiet except for the high pressure and flow rate of the output tubing. I merely extend the tubing so that it ends below the water level and the noise of water is considerable reduced. I have only good things to say about this filter after using it for 3 weeks. A solid purchase for sure.

I really want to like this product, but it didn't really cut it for me. I wish there was a half, this really should be 2 1/2 stars.

I have a 9" red eared slider. I've recently upgraded to an aqueon 40 gallon breeder style tank. It's glass and the sides are maybe 0.5cm wide. I was really excited when I bought this product because I've struggled with other turtle basking solutions. I've never been a fan of the products that use suction cups. I currently use a stone bridge Zilla Reptile Basking Platform with Ramp, Large. It's good and effective, but the legs of the bridge take a lot of tank re-estate and the height of the bridge is fixed, limiting the water level.

I purchased the large size turtle bank. I tried to do a lot of research online to see if this really worked for people, my primary concern was that the magnets weren't strong enough. I don't doubt other people's reviews, but this product just didn't work out for me. These magnets are indeed strong. They are strong enough to hold the turtle bank in place within the tankbut the bank wasn't securely locked in place. If you leave the bank alone, it looks secure, but if you push down on it with your hand, it dips and sags. The bank is sort of a stretched triangle shape and one contact point is in the middle of the short side, and about 1/3 of the way on the long side. The idea behind the design is that the far end of the long side will sag somewhat in the water, giving the turtle some area to pull itself out of the water.

When my slider saw the bank, it was instantly interested. It was a really natural platform. The problem I found, however, was that once the turtle was on the platform, the bank wobbled. In particular, the short end, opposite of where the turtle was attempting to get onto the platform pulled away from the water. After flopping around for a few seconds, the bank stabilized, but 1/2 of the bank sagged into the water. It wasn't ideal, but I figured that I would try it out. Within the next hour, my turtle must have kicked around a lot because the magnet on the short side was lost and I found the magnet on the floor. I re-secured it, but found that they were both disconnected the next morning.

I asked somebody at a pet store about the product, and they swore by it. I believe the turtles that used it were smaller however, maybe 6" and it was a pond with thinner plastic walls.

The bank itself is made out of a touch plastic. As the other reviews indicate, I doubt that your turtle will be able to chew on it. The top is textured, making it easier for a turtle to grip it to climb on top. The bottom and sides are smooth, making them easier to clean.

We have red-eared sliders about 6 inches long.

We put the turtle bank in a 50 gallon tank and, at first, we loved it. We thought we'd FINALLY found a decent platform (after wasting money on suction cup docks, floating docks that sunk, and several platforms that only allowed for 3-4 inches of water).

For a few hours, our little guy was dry, relaxed, warm, and very comfortable. He was on it less than 2 minutes after we put it in for him; he really likes it!

When he was done resting, that RES curiosity we all know and love kicked in, and he decided to try standing up on it to see if he could reach the top of the tank. Always looking for escape routes, these guys! As soon as he stood on his back legs and the distribution of his weight went from spread out to concentrated, the magnets dropped off and the bank shot out from under him and floated across the tank. As long as he and his brother are perfectly still when they're on it, it works. But turtles aren't statues! They eventually move, and the magnets fall off almost every time they do. We can hear the magnets hit the floor from 2 rooms away.

Half of the platform submerges with their weight, so only the corner is completely dry yet, when they concentrate their weight in that one corner, the magnets fly off and they get tossed off the dock.

We've built a little frame out of PVC pipe as a brace under the bank, and that has helped as a temporary fix, but we're searching for a decent basking platform....AGAIN.

I bought this product for my son who has a tiny red eared slider.He wanted to have a nice dry land for her,and this turtle bank is just perfect.Although it is quite big for her but i am sure this will be good enough for her when she grows big.The magnets are really strong and keep it in place.At first Keechu(the turtle)was a little scared of this big land and stayed away from it ,but after a few days got used to it and now she loves basking on it often.This product is worth buying and is definitely better than the turtle landing or the dock.The delivery was in time and the packing was superb.thanks to amazon.

Everything was fine with the seller, got my order when they said i would no problems. The only thing that i didnt like about the product was i thought the magnets were going to be a little stronger since i have a thick glass tank it didnt really work and i have adult turtles and it only takes one of them to sink it. But i wedged it into my tank so that it works out for them.

Love the idea and actual feel of the turtle bank and my animals love it. But I purchased 2 and both sank, lost flotation, within a month... Exo-Terra said they will replace them but I have to send them back to them under my dime. After paying ~$30 each to begin with, I am not willing to spend even more money to ship water-logged turtle banks back to them. What a pain.

Love the pattern on this reptile carpet. Love the way it looks in my terrarium, BUT wish I hadn't wasted money buying it. It is way too small. You might think 'so what?' if it leaves a 1/4 inch to a half inch of bare glass on the floor. Problem is if you use live feed those worms and crickets use that area to get under the carpet and hide...so no food for the Bearded Dragon and a nasty mess to clean when you pull the carpet out to clean his tank. The filter and hood component are wonderful...the light on the other hand.

To start, the light lost one of the tubes after 1 month of service, not from the tube burning out but due to the fixtures end caps being garbage, that coupled with the external ballast that reached temps of over 185 degrees F(as read with my laser therm)I thought this would be something Marineland would want to hear about...how wrong I was, after they sent me a defective replacement light they stopped replying to email and phone calls to rectify the situation. The second ballast actually melted the plug, and still no response from Marineland. Enter the BBB and low and behold a complete refund for the system. I have since replaced the light fixture with a led system and it fits nicely under the hood. The hood is a good looking and functional filter hood, it is a shame that they would not stand by their product.

I bought this and the tree stump. They got it right with this one. The bubbles come out in a nice pattern, three separate streams. The luminous glow is just right, the bubbles catch some light as well. throw some quartz rock around it and it looks less plasticky, but it's fine as long as you bury or rock the base.

This thing is awesome but you have to keep cleaning off the algae which is expected. I took out the bubbler because it made too much noise at night.
