I've been running it for about a month now and the light is great. I installed track lighting above my tank and use this bulb to put the light where I need it. Birdsnest coral (Seriatopora hystrix) that I have under it is showing good growth as is the Red Gonipora I have under it. Excellent way to get light where you need it. The spread on it isn't huge so if you want to use these exclusively for your tank lighting you'll need a few, I'd say one for 8-12 inches of tank length or so.
I love the bright colors of this aquarium plant it adds a boost of color and excitement to the tank. I don't think the fish really care what color the plants are, so I always buy the brightest ones I can find. This one is a really nice bright yellow and I like that it has the two-tone color with the orange.

The heater worked fine for 3 days. Then overnight it got stuck on and the temperature in my 29g tank was 95F. The $10 heater cost me $400 in coral and a new beautiful flame angel I had for about 3 weeks. I had the heater in the suction cup holders and it had not been bumped or damaged. This is a horrible product and should not be on the market to kill other people's livestock. I had just bought $150 in new coral, also. DON'T BUY THIS THERMOMETER!!!! BTW it is a crock of poo that Amazon makes us put a star on the product no matter how bad it is.

This Aquarium Water Heater does heat the water BUT its temperture probe location is 1/2" from the top of the unit. When you start with a clean Aquarium, for two days it works, then its sensor probe is no longer in the water (evaporation) but instead in the air above the water! How does it know what temperature the water is??? This was a great value compared to what they cost in store. The only thing I don't like about it is it need a lid to cover the adjuster for the temp control. Kids and cats kept adjusting the temp.
I purchased this heater Oct 29, 2010. 14 months later it just stopped working. The temp indicator shows it is working but the temp dropped in my tank without warning costing me fish.

Plenty bright for my fresh water planted aquarium. I measured the power and my meter said its only using 18 watts. Must be the ballast. Nearly half the price of what the Local Fish store is asking.

When I purchased this I was specifically shopping for a "dangly toy on stick" that I could drag around for my cat, who loves to "hunt" anything long and stringy. Sometimes after "catching" the toy, he will carry it off in his mouth to his "lair" (inside of a closet). It's hysterical to see him dragging it around like it's real prey.
I always run a cup of this in my large filter when I do a cleaning. This and all the other brands of this work great and this one usually costs less.

We have two cats and each one loves to play with these toys in a different way. Our tortie goes crazy batting these babies around the house. Sandi doesn't like catnip so this was no attraction what crinkle? He hasn't looked at it at all other than once carting it through to the bedroom and leaving it beside my slippers. I figured I would give it a shot because I was running low on food for my 2 bettas and the local stores were out of stock on what I usually got. They love the food. My late betta would only eat them dried worms. She would always spit back out the pellets contained within this fish food. Perhaps my betta is not acclimated to this product? So I gave 2 stars instead of 1.
Fish do better in water that is not stagnant, therefore, adding an airstone not only increases the oxygen content of the water, but gets the water moving in a circular current. Moving water keeps debris from lodging on the bottom, and keeps the aquarium ecosystem healthier. Therefore, I purchased two 6" stones and have one at each end of my 55 gallon tank. The bubbles are fine (smaller) and give the aquarium interest. The stones attach to standard hose and run off an air pump.

I have recently set up a new 30 gallon tank with this stone (and a Tetra 77853 Whisper Air Pump, 40-Gallon). The pump works admirably, however the stone leaves a bit to be desired. As mentioned in other reviews, you may or may not get bubble distribution along the entire length of stone, despite what the image in its description looks like. Mine only bubbles from the first inch near the hose connection installed as directed without additional stones. I then tested it with the backup pump I ordered and a friend's rated for 60 gallon tanks with no major gains. In the end I've added a small length of tubing at the other hose connection point and capped it off there (for some reason this gets another inch or so of the stone working).

Obviously, you can find cheaper bubble wands out there that probably aerate you water just as well. but this one is unique in that it is bendable and comes with LED's to light the bubbles. I use it in my 10 gallon tank, and my only problem with it is that if you turn the air down power, the bubbles don't disperse evenly across the wand. If I keep the air at full blast, the bubbles look great and disperse perfectly, but it's a bit too powerful for my fish. The LED's are pretty nice, but I only turn them on once in a blue moon really.
