This is a very powerful and safe product...BUT be prepared for the skimmer to NOT work for over a week. This stuff takes a long time to break down to say the least. Tons of bubbles and over skimm first. The product does say no skimming but had no idea how long that period will be. On the other hand had an emergency with a purple tang and what looked like larger white ulcers out of the blue in over 9 years of perfect health and it was gone in a day with this. So worth having availible.

This one is for parasitic infection. Flukes and worms, ich, and so forth. Examine new fish with a magnifying glass before putting them in the community tank.

I bought the 10" light to replace my dual T5 fixture. The good price, small size, with a generous quantity of LED for the size all convinced me to try this brand and light. It was packed well and was VERY Bright, to my eye it was brighter than my Dual T5's. I was a little worried with them being 7000k, but it doesn't look more blue than I think it should. It has been on the tank for over a week(almost two) as of writing this review and I've seen no slowdown in new growth with my plants, the stem plants are actually starting to grow faster with this light. I would recommend the light and will be trying the Ray2 HO led fixture on my next tank. I will update in a couple months to let you know how the light works in the long term. For now it gets 5 stars.

Great little aquarium light which i use on the refugium below. Small row of blue surrounded by white LEDs. The switches on each end turn on one set or the others. Only has a single plug so you can't setup it set on times to cycle through daw, day, evening lighting. I just use it opposite to the main tank lights. The light is strong enough and keeps my mangrove plants growing and happy. Definitely well worth the cost. Light, portable and durable. It fits perfect on my ProFlex Sump Model 1.

Only wish it has dual plug to cycle lighting.

I was looking for a LED alternative to modify my 28G Nano cube from a HID lamp to LED. I purchased two lights and these 10" lights fit the space available and are saving me a fortune in electricity now that I am using a few watts compared to 175w. Also the tank seems to be much clearer now that the light balance is different, corals are happy and the color of the fish is great. I am also looking forward to saving on the summers electric bill as I will not be running the chiller this year since these lights covert little to heat.

Drum Fish Bowl

I wanted to update now that I've learned more about proper betta care and have seen the transformation in my own fish from a few simple tweaks in the way I take care of them. I posted before implying that a heater isn't needed if you keep your house warm. I've since learned that bettas really need to be in water around 80 degrees F for their health and wellness. So I would get a heater and monitor the temperature with a thermometer. Also, I HIGHLY recommend you buy a filter for this bowl. There are several on the market that would work great in this tank. I highly recommend the Red Sea Art Deco Filter, which is what I've used. Anyway, while I now keep my betta in a 6.6 gallon bookshelf aquarium made by Petco, I still recommend this bowl for anyone who finds the smaller size appealing. Just make sure to get a heater and filter too. :)

I got this because it was the biggest fish bowl I could find that wasn't really expensive. It's hard to imagine what 2.5 gallons looks like, so I was actually a little surprised how big it was. Made me feel bad about the bowl I was keeping my betta in before. Anyway, if you're intent upon getting an unfiltered bowl, this is the absolute best choice for your fish and for you. Be sure to change at least a cup or two of water everyday since there is no other filtration, and keep the bowl in the warmest room in your house.

I bought this for my betta and he loves it. It works great, it's the perfect size for him and it's fairly easy to clean. It's also the largest bowl I could find and it is great for someone who likes to have decorations.

Although they look grey in the photo, there is nothing dark, tinted, at all about this bowl. Perfectly crystal clear. I ordered 4 of them for my bettas and I LOVE THEM!! They are a great size for me to be able to do twice weekly water changes and still have room for lots of tank decorations. They are, indeed heavy when filled with water, but that's to be expected in any bowl, and this plastic itself is very light. In the vendor's image, there also appears to be some strange indentations on the bowl-I don't know what those are. Mine are beautiful. The drum shape means my thermometers, heaters, and betta beds can all suction to the flat sides, and that less substrate is needed than in a rectangular tank. And for the price, you can't beat it!!! Do yourself a favor and get a scrubbing pad made for acrylic tanks, so you don't scratch the plastic.

I love this mix, although you have to remember to put the B complex in 5 minutes later. I love the results and haven't had happier corals. Complete complex for a beginners tank, loved the easy application and indications. Super easy for beginners.

I can't comment yet on the product effectiveness, but shipping leaves a bit to be desired. Each bottle has a foil seal under the cap, but one of them was completely separated and the cap was not very tight. Whether this was due to the manufacturer packing, Amazon's shipping, or warehouse handling is unknown. There was a small amount of leakage and the solution dried into a white crusty wet substance on the bottle...kinda like condensed salt creep you would find on a reef setup.

I use this for both of my tanks.. a 28g and a 20g. I have never had an issue with it. I've read reviews that where negitive, and say to use higher priced brands.. I have sps, lps, nps, and softies in my tank and they all have good growth, my levels are always steady and within perfect range of where they are supposed to be. The 72 gallon bow front Aqueon Versa Top came to me from Ozbo and in excellent condition. The top I received is different than the picture. It is actually split in half from front to back instead of the single lid as shown in order to fit the center brace. That is a good thing as the center brace in the Aqueon 72 gallon bow front aquarium I have has a rabbit that it sits in. I had to attach two included handles and cut the back strip to fit my plumbing which is normal. I'm very please with its construction and fit. Would definitely order from Amazon, Ozbo, and Aqueon again.

Product arrived in great shape. It's actuallly two pieces so it's easier to handle. It's exactly what I wanted and looks great.

Like many other reviewers have commented, this is not one glass topit comes in two pieces, but fits the 72 gallon bowfront perfectly, and it's better that it comes in two piecesone side can have complete coverage, while the other side can leave room for air tubing/filters. Unfortunately, like a couple of other reviewers on here, I had the bad experience of shoddy packagingwhen it arrived, all of the 'padding' in the package was on one side. Upon opening the package I discovered one of the sides (the opposite side of the one with all the padding, so clearly that padding helps) was shattered. This is a very disconcerting thing when you spend this much money on a product (poor college student here, so this is a big deal for me). That said, the side that was not shattered fit perfectly and looked quite good. It's because, excluding shoddy packaging, it's a good product, on top of the fact that returning things to amazon is about the easiest thing in the world (I didn't even have to leave my apartmentjust repacked the top in the original packaging, clicked the option for amazon to contact UPS, and printed the return labelnext day UPS shows up, and day after that I had my refund in my accounttwo days total, it was kind of amazing). So the ease of return, along w/the knowledge that it is a good product, led me to the 3 star review. I have gone ahead and tried re-ordering it, hoping for better results this time. I will update w/the condition of the second package. The first one shipped was undeliverable, so without even requesting they immediately shipped a replacement. Replacement, amazingly, arrived intact. I have never, ever seen worse packaging and this is why the first one got damaged. Whoever packed it put the box containing the lid on the bottom of a huge box and loosely filled it with yards of crumpled paper. The box was crushed when delivered and I took photos of it before opening, fearing the worst, but somehow it survived intact.

The lid fits my 72 gallon bow front tank perfectly....it is actually four pieces of glass (they do not include or ship the center support) and is an ideal replacement. For the price I should have purchased this long ago.

The quality is very high and strong. I've purchased ornaments from the local pet store only to drop them outside while cleaning and have them crack and break. This ornament is made of a very strong and durable material that I have no fear of cracking or breaking. It looks great in my tank and my fish love living in it. My golden algae eater even burrows under it and likes to hide there while my cichlids use the main part to hide. Very pleased with this product.

These filter cartridges work well. They have a good amount of Carbon in them and trap a bunch of dirt.

Don't replace them all at the same time. Even thought the sponge on the intake holds a large colony of beneficial bacteria, a lot resides in the filters as well. So give it a couple weeks between replacing each cartridge.

When I purchased this, it was $5 per pack (free standard shipping). It looks like it is now a Prime item, but the price has gone up to over $6 (still not extremely expensive considering they need to be changed about once every 2 weeks). The product itself works great, and fits the filter for the tank I purchased. So far no complaints.

In one of several aquariums I maintain in my home, I went with a shipwreck theme when choosing decor. This shipwreck is a lovely addition, and it matches nicely a separate item, the broken stern.

The piece certainly evokes the bottom-of-the-sea atmosphere I'd hoped to create. It's even a little eerie in its stark silence, with jagged holes in the hull hinting at some terrible ocean tragedy long ago. R2 Fish School Complete Fish Training Kit

Got the training kit and think it is pure genius. I have been in the professional animal training world for 35 years. I specialized in elephants and exotic animals . I learned operant conditioning at an early stage in my career and was able to use this knowledge to improve my understanding of training theories and applications in training for more humane results.

I agree with the other reviews that this kit is complete and was put together with real some real indepth thought behind it. The DVD is so easy to follow and the pieces almost self explainatory in the way they snap together.

This kit is super for parents just wanting to interact with their children. The kit would be wonderful also for teachers wanting an in classroom project. A Shrine Hospital treating kids or a day care could easily have a mascot for the children and teach the fish for fun as well as entertainment.

Where I see the real value in the R2 Fish School trainig kit is teaching adults though. I know many adults would think they are beyond a fish training kit .In my years of teaching and consulting on behavioral modification in the Zoo world I could have definately used this kit to expand peoples understanding of operant conditioning and learning theory. There seems to be a new wave of people involved in what is known as clicker training . There are some trainers even holding seminars to share these techniques. One noted expert has newcomers to the field of operant conditioniong train chickens so the students can learn the theory and application hands on in a class room. The fish could replace the chicken and is easier to house, clean and care for in many enviorments than are chickens.I know you can get more reinforcements into a chicken but each of these animals has its individual benifits to training it. Training this little fish demonstrates most of all that animals can and wil learn with out physical coercion. No bridle or bit, no choke chain or leash . Just you your intelect and the use of positive reinforcements to accomplish a wide range behaviors you never thought a fish could do.

If you want a fun productive, interactive, and worthwhile training tool this is it.It is not just for kids.

You clicker trainers out their interested in this R2 fish kit may take note. This kit does not have a clicker included .Those of you who would want to use this to teach adults could use a slight single tap on the side of the glass when pressenting a food reinforcement . This taping noise association quickly would replace the clicker as a secondary reinforcer or bridging stimulus.

Got mine Friday....already trained my Betta to swim through the hoop....Tunnel trick next. The DVD and manual are really easy to understand. The DVD is actually very entertaining....I'm sure my Betta won't be as successful as Comet but we'll give it a shot! The parts are very well made and well engineered. I purchased the R2 Fish School to explore the possibility of Animal Assisted Therapy. With the advancement of microcontrollers and sensors it'll be possible to setup a tank that is interactive and gives feedback.

I've gone through a two year program that teaches you how to train your own assistance dog. Shane and I graduated four years ago and I use operant conditioning to improve upon current skills or teach new ones that we need.

I think the greatest benefit of the R2 Fish School kit is that it removes barriers of learning positive reinforcement that happens when you try to train a dog.

* Even though 90% of our dog's communication is through body language, we assume they understand full sentences, and get frustrated when they don't. We don't expect that with fish.

A lot of thought went into this kit. An example is the goal post clips that guide the soccer ball into the net. Without them the soccer ball could become trapped between the goal post and the training platform walls. It's important that you plan your training session so that the animal doesn't get frustrated. The goal post clips are an example of this technique.

I had known for a few years that it was possible to train fish, but had never taken the time to do it. Dean & Kyle took the time and a lot of thought and care went into the design of this kit. Operant conditioning isn't a way to control your pet, but a way of communicating.

My assistance dog Shane was considered un-adoptable by both the humane society and the Labrador rescue group. Everyone who adopted him found him to be too wild and demanding. But he passed his temperament test for the assistance dog school, he was given to me by the Labrador rescue foundation and I was told I couldn't give him back.

Operant conditioning saved his life and improved mine. I know from experience that if I had this kit back then it would have helped me get the training techniques faster.

I was given a goldfish from the fair a few months ago, and decided to try out the kit. It is amazing how quickly he learned and actually being able to interact with a fish. I have had a few of these doors over the years and find them to be consistently reliable. Eventually I have to replace them from use and dirt. The raccoons can still get their paws under the flap and come into the house, so I have to lock it at night. My indoor cat has yet to figure out how to pry or bat this open and my mom's outdoor cats seem to take no issue with it. My cat's name is Murphy, he's supposed to stay indoors. My mom's cat is Milo, he is allowed outside. Unfortunately, Murphy has discovered that if Milo is walking towards the door, he can put his forehead on Milo's butt and follow him out. As you can imagine, it is quite an odd sight and Milo has smacked Murphy a few times for being in his personal space but where there's a will, there's a way. My cat has found that way. Oh well. Can't wait to move.

They float to the top and then are pushed down occasionally by the current from the filter. We just have a 2 gallon tank so it seemed that 5 was too much as 3 were stuck in a group on the top...when it's just 3, it's better. We've had bad luck with real fish so this is just what we needed!

Pros: Well painted, brightly colored, cheap, no maintenance, they float at different levels in the tank and move around in the water filter current, which adds to the realism. They also don't eat, poop, fight with each other or die. Ever!

Cons: None yet.

Other thoughts: Don't expect them to move around on their own with little motorized fins for your entertainment. Remember cheap (but good) decorations!

I'd read reviews on fish that were all exactly the same (i.e., they clump together), so I wanted a set with different fish. All tend to "swim" at the top except the angel fish (the white one), which migrates to the bottom and stays there. My daughter loves them, and has named them all. The bottom fin of the angel fish, though, tends to get stuck in the gravel at the bottom of the fish tank.

Mighty Toys Bug Series Lala the Ladybug Toy

I had seen these toys at my local pet store and they seemed like a great match for my dog. Sprocket is a coonhound/gs mix and quite the chewer. Toys don't last long in my house and he loves, loves the stuffed kind. These seemed durable and nearly impossible for him to rip through. Rather than pay full price at the pet store, I gave this one a try through amazon.com. It lasted one day before he had found the seem and ripped into it. It looked like a ladybug massacre in my living room. He completely eviscerated that thing within the hour. So, sadly, this was not the match for my guy. I have since found that hugglehounds work perfectly for him. They don't last forever, but they do tend to last the week which is a big improvement. Once he's torn them apart he still continues to carry around the carcass and play with it for some time. So I would suggest that those of you that extreme chewers...give the hugglehounds a try.
