Aruliden Fishscape Fish Bowl

Aruliden Fishscape Fish BowlLOVE the beauty of this bowl. Absolutely stunning, and we get non-stop compliments. Problem is that one of "mountains" developed a crack after 6 months and the bowl can't be used anymore. We gave this bowl TLC and the crack came on suddenly, seemingly without cause. The manufacturer won't stand behind their product and told us they won't do anything for us since we've had it for "so long". For this price, I expect something that would last longer than your average inexpensive fish bowl. This is the best looking fish bowl I've ever seen, but definitely not worth the price.

I bought this bowl thinking it would be an art piece and unique fish bowl. Unfortunately, every fish I put in it died within two days, including two bettas and one goldfish. I quickly removed the second goldfish and put him in another fishbowl I had laying around. It's been six months and he is doing well. So I have to assume it was the bowl. I did make a terrarium out of it and the plants (succulents) have survived, but I'm wondering if there was something in the annealing process that does not make it suitable for fish. Other than that, it's a cool piece.

Buy Aruliden Fishscape Fish Bowl Now

Beautiful piece of art. But it provides no nooks or connecting points (with gasket at bottom to prevent leakage) for airpump, filter, light, etc. So best to use with spherical algae and maybe some small shrimp. Oxygen stones maybe required from time to time. Wiping algae off the inner structure can be a chore. But still quite neat. Sorry, I don't own this.

U.P. Aqua Shrimp Sand

U.P. Aqua Shrimp SandThis substrate can't no longer buff my water ph. it's only been 4 months of use and my shrimp tank water can't go any lower than 7 ph.

I really like this product for my shrimp tanks.Works well, just rinse off and use.Shrimp love to look for food in it.Just the right size.

Buy U.P. Aqua Shrimp Sand Now

I purchased several bags of U.P. Aqua Shrimp Substrate for a couple tanks (20 Long PFR/10 PRL) based off of being newer to the market and a few glowing reviews. Here in the US we do not get many of the substrates that are available in HK, Japan, and Europe due to import restrictions and lack of importers in general.

Overall, it does look good and is what I would consider the only reason I haven't gave it away. Small ~1MM grains are easy for shrimp to play with, and several of my PFRs like to actually dig into it while scavenging. The reason they are able to interact with it so much is entirely due to the lightweight of the grains. Planting anything with buoyancy is frustrating without using inert weights, including Java Ferns which will "walk" around the tank at night without them in the currents. Waving a few fingers through the water and creating a current will send little black grains everywhere. Ph Buffering ability is pretty much non-existent unless you fill 1/5 of a 10G tank which wasn't a primary concern of mine as I use a 5 stage RO/DI anyways. Tested with both house tap, RO, grocery store mineral water and could not see any significant Ph buffering. There was no ammonia spike detected which is nice.

That being said, it would look incredible in a small desk nano as long as you are not depending on it to do much else than be inert. In that aspect I gave it 3 stars on looks alone, and it didn't give me any cloudiness issues to speak of. I will keep it in a few tanks, but I cannot say I am willing to spend that much again for an inactive substrate. There are much better values around here (twice as much product, actually buffer 6.5, and cost half the price).

This is an exceptionally clean and attractive substrate and so far I am very impressed. It rinses nearly clear and partial water changes do not cloud the water. One bag does a 10 gallon tank adequately.

I have this in my 20L SSS Grade CRS tank. Very clean, no ammonia spike detected. Perfect size. Will need a pound per gallon for good PH buffering.

Hagen Nutrafin Max Marine Flakes, 2.72-Ounce

Hagen Nutrafin Max Marine Flakes, 2.72-OunceI feed this to my freshwater and saltwater fish. It makes a great staple for my Discus and Angelfish, and the growth rate on my livebearers is fantastic. Does not foul the water and floats for a long time. The bright red coloration seems to send my fish into a frenzy.

After 1 week my 9 month puppy worked out how to open the 3 catches on the crate. The first time I thought it was my error. I should have trusted myself, the 2nd time she got out and tore up the fitted carpet. I now use cable wraps each time to ensure a closed door.

Want Home On-The-Go Dog Crate in Black Discount?

Very cheaply constructed many of the bars were bent when received. Locks do not line up in order to properly close the door. Top metal latch is not soldered together properly. Product was identified as new but torn box; however much worse than that when received.

TrueLumen 453nm Blue 3-LED Linking Module, One Female and One Male Connector

TrueLumen 453nm Blue 3-LED Linking Module, One Female and One Male ConnectorI put these in line with 2 strips of TrueLumenPros and they were dead in a week. Fortunately I checked on them everyday and was able to notice that the lights were going out individually and not all at once. I'm convinced they're crap.

i bought two of these to provide some dim light at night for viewing.

one burned out within three days, i figured it was just an unfortunate event.

my second one then burned out a month later.

cant be coincidence, its just junk.

Buy TrueLumen 453nm Blue 3-LED Linking Module, One Female and One Male Connector Now

I was reluctant to purchase these at first because of the price and the fact that they do not include a power adapter.. I went on ebay and found a strip light with adapter for $10. I paid for my lesson, as it did not last a week before shorting out and when i pulled it off it disintegrated.

I purchased 4 of these LED pods, and he outlet for them. again.. it does NOT come with a wall outlet you need to PURCHASE it SEPARATELY. I just want to make that clear to anyone thinking about buying this so you do not have to purchase and wait for this item after receiving these without a plug.

I purchased 4 pods to work as lunar lighting for my 12 gallon nano cube reef. I tested it briefly after installing it, but it was still fairly light out.. I was able to get some glow off of my corals, and with just one pod going it was a nice dim blue. I can't wait for it to get dark enough so I can check out the corals under all 4.

They are quality pods, they have double sided tape on them, but I found that it wasn't very good, I replaced it with a better grade tape and stuck them to the heat sink that I have there for my upgraded LED lights. The package also includes screws to screw them in if you wish. They are pretty strait forward. The instructions on the back claim that one power supply will power 20 LED pods. I linked the 4 I have together and they all light up fine.

I will be getting more for my other tanks down the road. I will also upload pictures of them running when I get a chance.

Fish Food - Tropical (Flake), 8.5 Oz.

Fish Food - Tropical, 8.5 Oz.I like the fact that this food comes in the larger size hard disk shaped flakes... Imagine small cornflakes. This enables you to either feed whole flakes, or break and crumble into smaller peices according to fish size. I feed this product to fish that range in size from golf ball sized goldfish to feeder guppies. What stands out to me about Aquadine is that I've witnessed fish that don't usually eat flake consume this readily. e.g. Black Ghost Knife. I'm glad I found it at such a good price, pet shops just aren't what they use to be.

Bought this product for my feeder guppies. But guess what!? It's not FLAKE food. It more like pelletized food only its disc shaped. Well I noticed in another review this was noted previously. Thats what I get for not reading the reviews!

AquaCustom 50 Gallon Shadow Box Aquarium

AquaCustom 50 Gallon Shadow Box AquariumThis is the same setup as the more expensive one offered see my complete review there. Delivered fom Apliance connection where I purchased it less than a week I was amazed. Save the money order here. Only difference I know of is its not coming from the manufacturer andbto be honest I have aquariums I have purchased from midwest-tropical and it took three times as long to receive. Buy a instock item from a out side company u will get it faster.

Ok so I purchased one of these tanks about about a month ago. The unit is completely constructed from acrylic. The tank is built in to the unit and can not be removed.

PROS extremely light I'd say hole unit is around sixty to seventy pounds.

Well constructed I have no fears of leakage

I had some reservations about ordering a tank so large and having it arive unscathed the unit came incased in a wooden shell and then spray foam was used to protect the tank. The unit could have fallen of the truck and Ben dragged down the street and would have made it out okay.

All descriptions I read on this tank and none really mentioned the components. I comes with a large multi stage filter with removable media trays. A nice air pump with a flow adjustment. A heater but to be honest I'd use the supplied heater for a twenty gallon tank not a fifty.under gravel filter with lift tube. The tank is plumbed with the drain/ pump intake in the center and the water out on the right corner. I will have to say I like the way they installed a tube on inside that brings water from the return side of the pump to the top and has a angled neck so as to eliminate the need for any hoses being run out side of the tank.

Plenty of plastic plants and more than enough of that small river stone substrate.

Not a bad lighting system dual bulb t5 I think not enouf for plants but okay for this setup. Very soft lines and bends no sharp edges light is mounted to top panel and when shut nothing is exposed.

Cons I am around five ten and standing on a step ladder I can not reach through the access panel in the top and reach the bottom very close but not quite. If substrate is added I might. I would like the tank to be removable. The filter is very tall and is difficult to install I purchased a 45 degree elbow because the hose kept bending and restricted water flow. Hoses are black I'd prefer clear so u can see how dirty they are. Under gravel filters with lift tubes are in my opinion useless. U have a pump sucking the water down from the bottom. Buy a decorative air stone and use that.

No cleaning tools i have purchased aquariums from this company before and always come with cleaning tools and net. The access panel on top could be larger.

This thing looks great and is constructed well bit expensive considering u shoud still buy a heater and any extra decor and fish your talking a couple hundred more.

Aqueon Flex LED Aquarium Bubble Wand, 14-Inch, Blue

Aqueon Flex LED Aquarium Bubble Wand, 14-Inch, BlueOver the past 40 years of keeping fish I've learned that for myself one of the greatest joys is of aquascaping. For years I had fish tanks that looked like well, fish tanks. Those dreadful backgrounds of other fish tanks, artificial plants and so on.

But like any hobby as long as your interest is there things tend to grow and change for the better. That said I've found one of the most inexpensive and creative way to make subtle to dramatic changes to most any tank is by using up lighting as the old saying goes "lighting is everything"

When Marineland came out with their LED wands I had them in many tanks in different numbers and colors, mostly the Lunar blue and white. The wands were just ok as they have a tendency to release and float to the top and the LED bulbs are quite dim.Enter the Via aqua wands much better. They're weighted and have stronger suction cups so they stay put, the LED bulbs are brighter but the air tube is rather weak and thin and like the Marineland they clog easy.

When I came across these bendable Led air wands by Aqueon I could just imagine the possibilities, circles, half circles, quarter moon. Building multi layered air columns and so on. My hunch was right and these wands are sensational.

The build quality is the best yet so far the main tube is stronger so you can feel free to bend these into virtually any shape you like. The outflow is generous and creates a wall of bubbles in an even beautiful flow. The main housing is a pliable rubber and each LED is incredibly bright, It's easy to adjust this by adding a lamp dimmer if you want a nice range of adjustment to the brightness. I would say this applies really only to the white as the Lunar blue has a much more softer hue and is closer to a true Lunar blue as you would find with over head LED lighting systems that offer this feature.

Bending these around your tank decor adds tons of visual appeal as well as great extra oxygen via the increased aeration one of the best things you can do for your fish.

I'm running a bunch of these in different sized tanks from 55's to 125 and up and find them to be a wonderful addition to every single one of them. I think any hobbyist will love these.

5 Fins Up!

Our tank looks beautiful. It is a planted tank with white rocks, blue and green glass discs, red rock hiding places. We just wanted more of backdrop. This bubble wand really did the trick. Blue lights with bubbles create a backdrop and set off the fish and plants more than ever! My only complaint is that at the furthest end if you turn the amount of air down, some of the holes don't let bubbles through. So a low setting isn't really ideal, so we just keep it on a medium setting and it works great!

Buy Aqueon Flex LED Aquarium Bubble Wand, 14-Inch, Blue Now

Obviously, you can find cheaper bubble wands out there that probably aerate you water just as well. but this one is unique in that it is bendable and comes with LED's to light the bubbles. I use it in my 10 gallon tank, and my only problem with it is that if you turn the air down power, the bubbles don't disperse evenly across the wand. If I keep the air at full blast, the bubbles look great and disperse perfectly, but it's a bit too powerful for my fish. The LED's are pretty nice, but I only turn them on once in a blue moon really. Overall, it was a good buy, but unless you can keep the bubbles at full blast it may not have the visual appeal you're looking for.

U.P. Aqua Professional (long) Scissor

U.P. Aqua Professional ScissorWorks great. sharp, cuts clean, and long reach. Nothing to complain about. i trim crypt wendtii, java fern, anubias, dwarf four leaf clover, and pennywort.

You might think this is too long. Well, once you put your hand in the water, you will wish your scissors would be a little longer.

This 10 inch one is not too long. And it's priced very reasonably.

I wish it were a little smoother at the joint, but it is better than not to be able to hold the two blades.

The blade tips are accurate enough to cut very small plants.

Como Aquarium Decor Floating Plastic Fish Multicolor 5 Pcs

Como Aquarium Decor Floating Plastic Fish Multicolor 5 PcsThey float to the top and then are pushed down occasionally by the current from the filter. We just have a 2 gallon tank so it seemed that 5 was too much as 3 were stuck in a group on the top...when it's just 3, it's better. We've had bad luck with real fish so this is just what we needed!

Pros: Well painted, brightly colored, cheap, no maintenance, they float at different levels in the tank and move around in the water filter current, which adds to the realism. They also don't eat, poop, fight with each other or die. Ever!

Cons: None yet.

Other thoughts: Don't expect them to move around on their own with little motorized fins for your entertainment. Remember cheap (but good) decorations!

Buy Como Aquarium Decor Floating Plastic Fish Multicolor 5 Pcs Now

I'd read reviews on fish that were all exactly the same (i.e., they clump together), so I wanted a set with different fish. All tend to "swim" at the top except the angel fish (the white one), which migrates to the bottom and stays there. My daughter loves them, and has named them all. The bottom fin of the angel fish, though, tends to get stuck in the gravel at the bottom of the fish tank.

If Como produces such peices of crap, they should not be in business.......I wanted to give it zero stars, because I do more than hate it. These fish are npt suitable to anyone except a 2-year-old in a bathtub, but would not be safe with all of the small, cheap, plastic peices. BUYER BEWARE!!

Aquatic Fundamentals 20 and 29 Gallon Aquarium Stand with Storage

Aquatic Fundamentals 20 and 29 Gallon Aquarium Stand with StorageMy only beef with this stand is that the middle section barely has enough room for a 10 gallon aquarium. And if you DO put a 10 gallon aquarium in the middle, there is just no way to open the lid because it barely fits. I plan on extending the pillars so that I can utilize the space for a 10 gallon aquarium, while using the top platform for my 20 gallon aquarium.
